Becca's POV
William walks in, he told me and Theo he had to get some air. He opens our white front door, his footsteps making no noise, I could barely tell he came into the lounge. Especially when he changes from walking on the wooden floor in the hallway to the carpet in the lounge.
"So." I jump up from the sofa that faces towards the window and TV, the way William is looking. "Are we going to find my cousins?"
William nods.
I begin to walk towards the hallway and Theo follows behind me.
Quickly we walk through the hallway and up the double stairs. Our footsteps all moving together like one. One step at a time. But soon it's to steps at a time.
All three of us have a major reason to get into the basement and find Harry and Jenna because they all mean so much to us.
William: his girlfriend and his best friend.
Theo: his brother and sister.
And me: two out of three of my cousins.
Finally we reach the top of the stairs and find the nearest door, the spare room door, about a metre away from the top of the stairs. I look out of the window on the back wall, the wall I'm staring at before I turn towards the spare room door.
Outside I see trees. They sway back and forth gently in the wind wing, the leaves rustling around. Birds fly from branch to branch and a door closing sounds.
William grabs hold of the handle and tries to open it, but it won't budge. Someone locked it and I don't think it was Abigail!
I have an idea!
I grab a pin out if my hair and stretch it out. I put it in the key hole and twist it a few times but it doesn't click open. Usually that works. But it didn't.
"Now how do we get in?" Williams questions.
"I don't know. Harry found the key but he still has it and he's down in the basement so we can't really get down, unless..." I begin.
"Unless what? Becs we need to get down there!" William interrupts.
"We could kick the door in, you did it in the crib, oh wait, that was Harry, sorry."
"I can kick the door down." William shrugs.
"Okay then, I and Theo will stand back."
As I say that we both stand back. William takes a tiny step back and lifts his leg, he bends his knee go his chest then thrusts his leg forward slamming into the door and causing it to tumble to the floor!
My mum rushes out from the kitchen and looks up from down the stairs. A concerned look on her face.
"What was that?" she exclaims.
"Sorry, in order to get Harry and Jenna back we needed to kick the door down." I say as I quickly walk into the spare room.
We wonder into the dark cold room. As soon as we enter the temperature changes completely. Warm in the hallway to freezing in this room.
Nervous looks flash across William and Theo's faces as we head for the open door in the wall leading down to the basement.
In the spare room the carpet is cream, but it hasn't been cleaned or used in several years so the dust and dirt have gotten to it. The old fashions red and white patterned wall is ripped in every corner and sections of it missing from every wall. An old chandelier hangs from the ceiling, half falling as it clings on to the wire. All the bulbs smashed and the glass shattered on the floor.
I see the old bed, a mahogany wood bed and a old dirty white bed set. Next to the far door, leading to the basement, is an old fashioned mahogany dining chair, the back makes beautiful swirling patterns and the seats cushion is a dirty white, like the bed. On the seat a cream envelope. The envelope that Rose put down for me.
On the other side of the door is a mahogany dressing table, I get the mahogany wood theme now! On the dressing table was the key to the little door which is still in there.
We walk over to the door and I pull it further open. The door has the same wallpaper the wall has but now it has several bits ripped off.
Slowly I take a deep breath in, duck my head and step down the stairs.
Carefully placing each foot down on the larger part of the stair and making sure I don't slip down so I hold onto the wall. My fingertips brush against the stone slate as I go further and further down.
Soon I see the dim dark hallway and the wooden board door that looks just like the kind you would find in a fairy tale castle.
You know, this hallway kind of reminds me of a dungeon.
Quickly I walk, my footsteps echoing throughout the long corridor. William and Theo's footsteps join. All three of us, sprint down the corridor, making a uneven sound, like a off beat, out if tuned song.
Finally we reach the door and I turn the handle. It creaks open and we step in expecting to find Harry and Jenna running towards us.
But they're no where to be seen.
(sorry for not updating in a little while, even though I don't know how long it's been. I will try to update later on today because I have some ideas which I hope are good. I hope you enjoy There, please vote and comment, and I would love to get more reads. Oh and another thing, none of these chapters are edited yet, I know there will be a lot of spelling mistakes and a lot of errors, bare with me, (my mum thinks I'm dyslexic) I hope you can understand what I'm trying to write! Anyway thanks, Maddie, xx)
