Harry freezes as the fear on his face grows. Even a single mention of clowns Harry stops.
Well you would if you were a 7 year old boy that went to his park to play not realised a horror movie was being set there and a creepy clown with a red balloon hovering over its head whilst standing above a dead little girl. That would scare you for life, and it did with Harry!
"Wait, what?!" I look back and forth between a frozen Harry and Aaron with a smirk playing on his lips.
"You heard me right." Aaron whispered. "Clowns." and he said the word slowly as of he was teasing Harry.
"Becca... we need to get out of here!" Harry pleads, terror filling his eyes. "I hate clowns, I really do!"
I look over to Harry as he backs up against the wall opposite the window where I can see the clown creeping closer and closer towards the house. The surprising green trees sway back and forth, how they still have green leaves that haven't dried, crumbled and fallen. But as the clown shuffles forward, flattening the long grass that is up to its chest, his face tilted and a creepy grin lifted up on one side of his face. But his makeup told another story, meaning the makeup around its mouth was turned down instead up of not following its grin.
But my head flashes up towards the ceiling as the clown from the attic takes a step down the stairs and tries to reach us.
"Oh, not forgetting something." Aaron smirks. "You can't get out!" He says as he wrinkles up his nose but his smirk still playing on his lips, and just like that, he disappears.
I gasp and look outside to see the clown, instead of walking, now dashing. Plus the bangs from upstairs caused my the other clown get quicker and quicker.
I sprint towards the door, my eye bores knitted together in anger.
"You little git!" I shout out.
"Becca!" Harry's voice shakes. "BECCA!" He screams.
I ignore him and try to yank the door open, twisted the knob.
"B-Becca!" Harry stutters.
"What?!" I snap at Harry whom is looking straight in the eyes of the white faced, red nosed clown dashing outside, towards us. "Oh stop being a pussy! If you want to get out shut up and let me figure it out!"
"How can I calm down? I'm frozen on the spot!" Harry bites back barely taken his eyes off the clown that is now right outside the window.
Oh why does this always happen to me and Harry?
But I continue to try get the door open. I pull and push and yank and I even try to kick it in but it's useless, nothing works. We're locked in and of course Harry can't cope. We are screwed.
"Becca! It's right there!" Harry trembles.
"It's alright Harry, it's not what you see, it's in your brian, it's all inside your head!" I try to reassure him, but obviously, it's doesn't work.
I turn back towards the door, Harry still panicking next to me and for a flash of a second I see Aaron.
His lips pursued but his face through the door, and everything stops. It goes silent. Harry freezes and the clown stops moving. Strangely the door opens and I walk out the see Aaron on the dim hallway.
"This isn't why you are here." He says.
