One day it's been since Williams funeral. I've been seeing ghosts more frequently now. Only in the street and sometimes people's houses but I mainly just ignore them. A few of them give me a stare, I suppose they know who I am but after that they just walk on. Maybe it's better for all of us.
Since the funeral I haven't seen much of William, he says he's been busy. Doing what, I don't know? He's dead... what can you do when you're dead?
It's now the middle of the week, Wednesday, I only have the rest of the week of the half term left before I go back for another 6 weeks term then it's the summer holidays!
How am I going to cope at school? What happens if I see a ghost and instead of ignoring me, they won't leave me alone?
Okay, calm down Becca, it will be alright. You're okay at acting, so ignore them. Just act like they're not there.
Just like I'm doing with the man standing in the corner of my room now.
He's been standing there all night. And it's the morning now! I could sense him throughout the night, plus images kept flicking through my head of a dark shadowy figure standing in the very corner of my room, the moonlight shining through my curtains onto his face, which has a black hole in the middle of his forehead, he's been shot. Another image that came last night was a gun, and the trigger being pulled. The bullet flew across the room and ended up slap-bang in the middle of a tall man's forehead, slowly his body slumped to the floor. A puddle of blood spreads next to him.
Slowly I look up to see him still standing there, opposite my bed. Just before my little seat next to the mirror hanging off the white walls.
He wears a long black coat, his skin dark, his eyes pitch black, basically with all the clothes he wears and his skin colour he looks like a shadow.
"Okay, I'm sorry but who are you?" I come out with.
"Oh thank god, you can see me! I thought I got the wrong person." the ghost exclaims.
"Yeah, I suppose William sent you?" I question.
"Yes, he said you could help me."
"Okay, what can I help you with?" I get up from my bed I was sitting on reading my book.
"The reason I'm dead is my brother, well half brother. My mother remarried to a white man, so he has a lighter skin tone but he looks like a younger version then me when you see him so it won't be hard as he's in your forest..."
"Wait what? He's in my forest? Why?" I interrupt.
"He was the one who killed me, and he ran away. He dressed me in black before he buried me in the field opposite your house. I want you to find him, well I will find him then tell you where he is and you call the police because they're looking for him, can you do that?"
"Sure. I can do that."
"Thank you" He says then disappears.
"Wait! What's you name?" I shout out.
'just call me Shadow.' he whispers in my head.

Half an hour it's been since Shadow last appeared and finally spoke to me. Maybe he didn't find his brother after all.
More importantly did he get shot in my garden?
Gosh, this is flipping breeding ground for ghost!
Speaking about ghost, what about Rose? Where did she go? Where has she gone? I need to find her! I need to kill her!
Shivers are sent down my body at that thought. I can't kill anyone, not even her! What made me think that?
But I do need to get revenge on her, for killing William and before she kills me.
Suddenly my room goes cold, so cold that when I breath I can see my own breath! My windows and mirrors start to frost up and I can sense someone's in here...
Slowly I swing my legs round off my bed and gently touch the now freezing floor. Right now it feels like someone's behind me but when I turn around no one's there. This isn't right, it's a ghosts that's doing all this bit shy can't I see it?
Is it playing hide and seek with me?
A sudden force sends me flying back onto my bed. My head bangs back but luckily on my soft duvet.
I feel a little pressure on my chest then a horrible pain where my appendix is! Maybe it is my appendix! But it hurts so much, it's honestly the worst pain I've ever felt! It's that bad so I scream out in pain.
It feels like someone's stabbing me, like something in my body has just exploded.
I grip onto my top and clench my teeth to stop from screaming out some more.
My eyesight goes fuzzy and a lump grows in my throat, I try to swallow it but everything hurts and a tear slides out of my eye.
And something makes me black out with the words in my head, 'don't'.
***
My eyes blink open, I'm laying on my bed. Stretched out on the same position I was earlier but I don't hurt anymore.
What happened?
"Miss?" a concerned voice snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Shadow!" I sharply sit up. "How long were you there? How long was I out?"
"Quite long, actually, what happened?" He asks.
"I don't know, one minute I was fine then it went freezing and then I had a horrible horrible pain! Like my appendix burst!"
"Oh."
"What? What's wrong? What is it?"
"Nothing.. I need to go, oh and I found my brother! He's still in the forest, the far right, not near the fenced off pentagram!" He quickly says then disappears.
What was that about? What was he hiding...
And what happened to me?
