Chapter 18:

Valerie's *POV

"Valerie omg you look so different!" my mom said running up to me hugging me.

I invited my parents to come down here and visit for like a month or so cause I've been pregnant for 7 months and I needed my mom and dad.

"Hey mom! and maybe it's because I have a baby in me?!" I said laughing hugging my mom. "hey hunny" my dad said hugging me after my mom.

"Hey son" my dad said to Matt. He actually seemed excited to see matt. Woah.

Matt and my dad packed everything in the car and we left. "so why didn't Marlise come with y'all to pick us up?" my mom said getting in the car.

"She just wanted y'all lot have enough room back there that's all" I said unsure of why she didn't come cause I didn't ask.

When we got back to Marlise and I's house I showed them to their room an they got unpacked.

"Were they mad seeing Matt instead of me?" Marlise whispered to me sitting down.

"No actually they were quite happy" I whispered back. She smiled and turned on the tv.

"Hey babe. I'm taking you all out to eat tonight so don't cook okay?" Matt said grabbing me from behind and kissing me.

"Okay" I said back. "Alright so are y'all ready to go?" my dad said coming downstairs.

Everyone said yes, except me cause it was only 3:00. "were going to the beach hun" Marlise said patting me on the back.

"Oh okay yeah I'm ready" I said with sort of a laugh.

We went to the beach and sat awhile. It was nice having my mom and dad down there.

"alright I made reservations at the restaurant for 5 so let's get going" Matt said jumping up.

We all hurried back to the car and made out way to the restaurant. "this is so nice" my mom said in awe.

"Yes well it's for some very special people" he said getting out opening my moms door them making his way to mine.

He helped me out an kissed me. "I love you" he said keeping his head on my forehead.

Matts *POV

They were having fireworks on the beach tonight around 7 so that's why the reservation was for 5.

I was planning a very special event tonight on the beach.

We are and talked and laughed. It was amazing. I loved this, we were just like a happy family which we kinda were.

It was about 6:45 and the beach was about 10 minutes away so I got everyone back in the car and we headed to the beach once more.

"Hey I'll be back" I said getting up tapping on Marlise's shoulder so she knew it was me.

"K" she said with a smile. I went up to were the DJ and stuff were and told them I was planning on proposing to Valerie.

"That's gonna be so perfect" a girl screamed from the dj setup. "Thanks" I said with a smile.

"Alright it's about to start thanks y'all" I grabbed the mic and walked back over to where everyone was.

As soon as fireworks started to go I q'd the DJ to play the song "little things" by one direction.

It started playing and everyone got quiet as I stood Valerie up and got on one knee.

I had Marlise hold the mic to my face as I brought the ring out and asked if she would marry me.

Valerie was crying and so was her mom and Marlise. "y-yes" she said covering her mouth.

I jumped up and put the ring on her finger and kissed her. Everyone was cheering as the fireworks kept shooting behind us.

"I love you more than words can explain" I whispered in her ear.
