Chapter 11:

Marlise's *POV

It was almost the end if senior year and of course there was exams but also there's prom.

"So you wanna go together?" I asked Valerie over the phone. "Yeah sure that should be fun!" she said excitedly.

We only had a week before prom and we needed dresses. We decided to get matching teal colored dresses because of it being our favorite color.

I knew she wanted to go with matt, but I don't know they're weird. Hopefully they will make up by graduation.

Valerie's *POV

We had gotten our dresses and now we only had 2 days before prom. I couldn't wait for the senior prom experience.

"I've always wanted to be queen but I'm sure that won't happen." I told Marlise while we were at our lockers.

"Hey you never know till you try. You are beautiful" she said back shutting we locker. We walked to class and the room got silent.

Everyone just stared at me like I murdered someone. "Stop looking at me, like I just murdered someone" I said feeling my face heat up.

Finally I knew why everyone was staring at me. I looked to the back of the classroom where Matt was. He was telling everyone, I payed him to get layed.

I dropped my books and felt tears streaming down my face as I ran out of the classroom. "Valerie!" I heard Marlise call running after me.

"He's just another stupid ass boy!" she screamed and I stopped. I turned around, she was about 10ft away from me. "YOU DONT GET IT! HE WASNT JUST ANOTHER GUY! I LOVED HIM! HE WAS EVERYTHING TO ME!" I screamed and the whole class walked into the hallway. "Then why did you tell him you needed time?" she said calmly. "Because my trust is like a piece a paper. Once you crumble it, it can't be straightened back out."

I looked straight ahead and saw Matt standing behind her. I can't believe I just said that, in front of my whole class. I turned around and ran out.

Matts *POV

What have I done? I ruined her even more. I crumbled her trust even more. It's the day of prom and I'm sure she'll never want to show her face now.

"Wow. You are such a fucking dick, you know that? If I had time for irrelevant assholes like you, id punch you. But I don't. So stay away from me and valerie" Marlise said her face turning red.

I couldn't fix this. Only time could. But I still had to try.

Valerie's *POV

I was still gonna go to prom. Marlise was right this is a once and a lifetime thing.

Marlise came to pick me up around 6 and we went straight to the school. We got out and walked in. "Hey go ahead I have to run to the restroom" I said walking into the bathroom.

I fixed my makeup and hair. I took one last look in the mirror and walked out. I walked into the gym and immediately everyone started staring.

But this time I didn't care. I wasn't gonna let it get to me. "You look beautiful" Cody said coming up to me.

"Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself" I said with a smile. "Wanna dance?" Cody asked gesturing to the dance floor. "Sure"

We walked out and a slow song started playing. We got really close and danced. It was amazing.

Matts *POV

Cody's dancing with Valerie. I can't believe this. She's mine...or was mine. I don't know why I was so upset. I mean she's moved on and I broke her heart.

They were about to announce king and queen so everyone kinda gathered around. I looked to my right to see all my boys and there dates an then to my left to see Marlise an Valerie.

Man Valerie looked beautiful. "And the king and queen are......" the principal said pausing. "Are Matthew Espinosa and Valerie Kingston"

I walked onto stage and Valerie came up behind me. We had to slow dance to one song.

We walked out there hand in hand and I never wanted to let go. They started the song and we started to dance.

She leaned in and put her head on my chest and I rested my chin on her head. It felt amazing but she was tense the whole time.

After the song was over she left. She just walked out and left.

WELL I HAVE EXAMS TODAY AND WEDNESDAY SO I DONT KNOW WHEN ILL UPDATE.
