First Day, First Embarrassment

"Jenny, wake up honey." my mom said as she lightly shook me.

I raised up slowly, yawning in the process.

"Its your first day of school honey. Are you ready?" she asked me as she got up from my bed and headed towards the door.

"Yeah, I think so." I told her I got up and headed to my closet.

"Great. Have a good day sweetie. I'm leaving out early to look for work, but first I have to wake your sisters up." she said as she blew me a kiss and walked out of the room, closing the door.

Today was the day. The day that I proved that Lizzie wasn't the superior twin. Of course everyone knew me for being the smarter, more responsible twin, but I wanted more.

A new school, a new image, I figured.

This time was gonna be different, and even though school had already started, it was still the beginning of the year.

I had never put on a pair of heels in my life. But I told myself that I was going to do just that today.

I grabbed a white Hollister crop top, and a pair of black skin tight jeans.

I finished it off with a pair of my new black pumps that I had never worn. I mean, sure I had heels, but I never thought of actually wearing them.

I still kept my hair straight and simple, but I had flat ironed it and it looked as if a professional had done it.

I checked myself in the mirror and was shocked at the girl who stood in front of me.

I looked so hot, so noticeable, so....Lizzie.

But I had to admit, I clean up good.

I was used to the usual sweat pants, tank top, and converse.

I stepped out into the hallway and grabbed the car keys.

Riley came around the corner and stopped me.

"Lizzie, will you drive me to school this morning?" she asked.

I laughed.

Riley looked at me, obviously confused.

"What's so funny?" she asked me.

"I'm not Lizzie, I'm Jenny." I told her.

"Yeah ri-"

Just then, Lizzie stepped into the hallway.

Riley looked back and forth from me and Lizzie.

"Wow, Jenny. You look really....pretty." she said.

"Thanks." I beamed, then looked at Lizzie.

"She's right, sis. You clean up good." said Lizzie.

"Are you guys ready?" I asked them, as we made our way downstairs.

"Yeah." they said in synch.

Lizzie had chosen to wear a black crop top, with blue skin tight jeans and white pumps. Of course, she had her hair curled and had on a little mascara.

We had on the same outfit, just different colors. What can I say? Twin mentality.

Riley had her hair up in a neat bun, a grey shirt that said Parental Discretion Advised , skin tight jeans, and black combat boots.
