The next morning as I exited the car with Brody and Lizzie, I had only one thing on my mind.

Haley.

I felt so bad for her. She's so small and frail, I guess I didn't think that it would be possible for her to be contracted with something so devastating.

"Oomph." I said as I walked dead into someone, not paying attention to where I was going.

"Woah, slow down babe."

I looked up into the eyes of a smirking Brody.

I gave him a playful hit on the shoulder and ran a hand through my hair.

"You guys ready?" he said as he threw either of his arms around Lizzie and I's shoulders.

We both in response nodded our heads, acting as if we didn't notice all of the stares and hear all of the murmurs of the entire parking lot.

"Time for sweet revenge." Brody said, his eyes sparkling in mischief.

As we entered the school, Brody let his arms drop from Lizzie's shoulder, just as he turned to me.

"Showtime." he whispered.

I looked up and saw the entire hallway staring at us, including a few teachers.

Heather and her possey were staring daggers at me as they folded their arms.

I didn't have time to look, think or react before Brody took action to his words.

I caught a glimpse of Emily who looked beyond pissed, and Lucas, who winked at me before Brody crashed his lips down on mines.

I responded immediately, ignoring the dreadful silence that was currently draining the morning halls.

After about 3 minutes, we pulled back from each other, and Brody grabbed my hand in his.

The entire hallway was still quiet, and then one person started to clap.

Multiple claps followed that one, and the trend continued until the entire hallway was buzzing with hoots, whistles, and claps.

I smiled in satisfaction as Lizzie draped an arm inside of my free one.

Reece, Brailey, and Jackson came towards us, all with huge smiles of success on their faces.

"Nice way start to the day amigos." Reece said as he and Brody fist bumped.

"Agreed." said Jackson.

Brailey blew a kiss at me, earning a laugh from all of us, and the 6 of us walked down the hall in triumph, ignoring the glares from Heather and her clique.

As I entered my first period class, I had the attention of my entire class.

Multiple of my fellow students rushed up to me, asking if it was true that I was dating Brody.
