Sisters & Sneaking Out

My first day was great. But the ride home was the very definition of the word awkward.

I mean sure I felt bad about embarrassing Lizzie. But she had blown me off for Heather.

Lizzie spoke up.

"You think you're so clever. That stunt you pulled in the lunchroom today was disgusting." she said as she kept her eyes locked on anything but me.

"Me? You blew me off for that slut and her snobby friends!" I yelled at her as I hit the steering wheel.

Hard.

Riley spoke up from the backseat.

"What's going on here?" she asked uneasily.

Lizzie and I spoke at the same time.

"She's jealous of me."

When we arrived at our house, I noticed that moms car was there.

We walked into the house, and I put the keys on the key hook and took off my heels.

"You'd better not call Lucas." she told me as she made her way over to me and got in my face.

"Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it?" I challenged her as I folded my arms across my chest.

Riley just stood there, fascinated.

"Woah , woah , girls!" my mom screamed as she came into the front hallway, where we were.

"What's going on here?" she asked us as she stepped in between us.

Lizzie and I both started to tell our sides of the story at the same time.

"What?" my mom screamed.

"She's jealous of me!" we both screamed at the same time as we ran upstairs to our rooms and slammed our doors.

My mom looked at Riley with an eyebrow raised.

Riley just humped her shoulders.

That night, I walked out onto my balcony to think.

It was nice and cool outside, so I just sat there and enjoyed the peacefulness.

A few minutes later, I heard a motorcycle engine.

I loved motorcycles.

I leaned forwards to see where the engine was coming from.

Lucas.

I smiled to myself as I watched him grab his helmet.

"Hey Lucas, nice bike." I told him from my bedroom balcony, which was in the front and gave a perfect view of Lucas's house.

"Thanks Jenny." he told me as he cut off the engine and jogged across the street to my front lawn.

I looked down at him from my balcony.

"Going somewhere?" I teased him.

"Maybe. Wanna come?" he asked me as he looked up, smirking.

I contemplated on whether or not I should or not. I mean, I've never done anything bad before.

"Sure." I finally answered him.

I went back into my room to quickly change out of my bed clothes and into my grey sweatpants, a black tank, and my grey and white converse.
