Chapter 28

Liar Liar

I was extra eager to get home when school finally let out. I had an overall good day, after I finally let my mind go blank. With all the thinking I had been doing lately, it seemed as if I was always thinking negative.

I stepped outside, searching for Lucas through the huge crowd of students that had filled the huge parking lot. When I finally spotted his leather jacket and dark hair, I stopped dead in my tracks.

There he was, looking as hot as ever, leaning against his motorcycle, talking to Emily.

Emily.

Waiting for a moment, watching, I noticed that they both looked deep into the conversation. Emily made some sort of gesture and bent over a little, showing off the top of her breasts.

As I saw Lucas's eyes wander down, he bit down on his lip.

That was it.

I walked over to where they where, and leaned against Lucas's shoulder.

"What are we talking about?" I asked.

"None of your concern." Emily sneered and winked at Lucas as she walked away.

When she was out of eyesight, I turned to Lucas.

"What was that all about?" I asked him.

"I should ask you the same thing." he said back.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"That whole jealousy thing. Its cute on some girls Jenny, but it doesn't work for you. Really." he said coldly as he shrugged me off of his shoulder.

I stared daggers at him and suddenly grew the courage to speak.

"I saw the way you were looking at her breasts you pig. I wasn't jealous. It's called territorial. You know, something you do when you're protecting what's yours." I stated as I folded my arms.

Lucas took out a cigarette and began to smoke.

"Who ever said I was yours?" he shot back.

His words too me aback. If anything, I was shocked.

"At least I'm not a pushover." I mumbled under my breath.

"What was that?" he said.

I didn't respond.

I prepared to walk away when he grabbed me by my shoulders, causing some kids in the parking lot to stare, but not too long before Lucas shot them a look.

"Let me go Lucas."

He stared at me and narrowed his eyes.

"What did you say?" he demanded.

I sighed and took options into consideration.

He deserved to know.

"Heather isn't pregnant." I said simply.

"What do you mean?"

"I overheard her and Brody talking, and she said that-"

"Liar."

Wait, what?

"What did you just call me?"

"You're a liar. I can't believe that you're so jealous, that you would stoop this low."

I stood there, unable to make words.

Lucas hopped on his motorcycle and sped off, leaving me there speechless.
