By the time Friday had rolled around, I had honestly gotten used to the whole 'sleeping late' concept.

It was after 1, and I was in my room eating my frozen yogurt.

Both my parents were at work, Lizzie and Riley were in school, so I was home alone, as I had been everyday this week.

My music was on full blast and I started dancing around my room to an Ariana Grande song with my long hair in a messy high ponytail, wearing sweats and a tank top.

My leg buzzed and I looked down at the caller ID to reveal that I had an incoming call from Brody.

I cut the volume down a little and answered my phone.

"Hello?Brody?Aren't you supposed to be in school?" I asked him as I sat cris-crossed down on my bed.

"I skipped 5th period. Anyways, you know you look really cute when you dance?" he said and I could almost hear the smirk in his voice.

I wrinkled my eyebrows in confusion and turned around to see Brody standing out on my balcony, smiling at me.

I hung up the phone and made my way to the door, sliding it open for Brody to come into my room.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him, smiling as I playfully hit him on the shoulder.

"I wanted to see you." he said simply as he walked past me and sat down on my bed.

I plopped down beside him.

"You know Jenny, I really like you." Brody said as he turned to me.

I felt myself blushing as I looked down at my lap nervously.

He lifted my chin with one of his hands and stared into my eyes.

"Jennifer Nichols, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked.

I practically melted.

I had never had a boyfriend before.

Let alone an older guy.

Let alone my best friend's brother.

I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out.

Brody laughed and put a hand on my cheek.

"Its alright Jenny. I think I know the answer." he said as he looked at me.

It was only in a moment that his lips were on mines.

He kissed me slowly and passionately.

When we pulled apart I was baffled.

Brody stared at me carefully and intently then burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked him as I folded my arms.

"You are. You're so clueless. But its cute." he told me as he stood up.

"Whatever. So what's the plan to take down Emily and Heather?" I asked him as we walked down the stairs.

"Simple. We make you popular. No offense." he quickly added as he noticed my raised eyebrows.

"None taken."

"You come back to school Monday right? We can start then. All we have to do is rise you up on the social bar. With our help, it will be a piece of cake." Brody said as he leaned back on the kitchen counter.
