QOTC : Who told?
Chapter 23
Carnivals & Confessions
Lucas's POV
As I rode home, I thought of Jenny. I was so pissed that I even blew off Emily's offer for afternoon sex. I never blew off someone for sex unless it was something really important on my mind. She actually told. I can't believe I was stupid enough to trust her with something like that.
I rounded the corner with a sharp turn and stopped when I realized that I couldn't go home. It was the middle of the day, and my mom was bound to be home. All I wanted to do was escape this shit hole of a place and for my sister to get better. I regret everything I've ever done to her. I was a huge pain in the ass, and now I just wish I could take it all back. My mom and sister were the only things I cared about. I had no worries, no reason to feel bad about myself until that bitch Jenny and her family moved here. I just wish that they would all get the hell out of my life.
Shit. I just thought about something. Hughes was making me go to that stupid school carnival after school. Something about showing school spirit. I had completely forgotten about it. Suddenly, my phone started to vibrate. I pulled it out and read the name that flashed across the screen.
Jenny. She had some nerve even thinking about calling my phone. But I answered anyway.
"What."
"Lucas, this is important. I really need to talk to you." she said almost breathlessly.
"We have nothing to talk about." I told her simply.
"Lucas, please." she begged.
I contemplated for a moment before I finally agreed.
"Yeah. Whatever."
"Will you be at the carnival this evening?" she asked me.
"I guess so."
"Great. I'll see you then?" she asked hopefully.
"Yeah."
I hung up the phone, but couldn't help staring at it. I mean, she really had the balls to call me after what happened today. The engine to my motorcycle roared to life as I sped down the street. My life was turning into a shit pile of lies.

Jenny's POV
I hang up the phone with Lucas and breathed a sigh of relief. Currently, I was in the girls bathroom in one of the stalls, thinking. I had even skipped a whole period today. I knew that it wasn't me who told everyone of Haley's secret. I would never do anything like that. I knew who had told, and it was exactly who I suspected.
Just then, the door to the bathroom burst open, and I heard muffled voices.I peeked through my stall door only to find...them.
"That was brilliant Emily. Lucas will never want to talk to that bitch again." Heather said as she looked into the mirror and fixed her hair.
I had to stiffen back a laugh. She had a huge bruise on the side of her face that was kind of a blackish/purpleish color. I mentally high-fived myself.
