Jealousy

(Aaron point of view)

When I woke up in the morning Leah was still asleep snuggled against my chest. Her body was so tiny compared to mine and she was so fragile. I stroked her hair and kissed the top of her head cause her to mumble in her sleep and bury herself in my pillow. Slowly I untangled myself from her so she would not wake up and walked into the kitchen and saw Liam getting his gym bag. 

"Li you off to work?"

He nodded and ran around the apartment grabbing his keys and ran out the door.  I looked around and saw that he left his water bottle on the counter. I swear if his head wasn't attached he'd lose that as well. Hoping that I would catch up i jogged outside and saw him and gave him his bottle. When I walked back in I noticed a guy standing by Leah door. I think his name was Ryan... wait no it was Riley. What could he want? It is only twelve in the afternoon on a Saturday. I cleared my throat and he turned around. (Italics Aaron, normal Riley)

"Can I help you?"

He looked me up and down as if he was trying to recognize me. 

"Yeaaah. I'm looking for Leah."

I crossed my arms infront of my chest and leaned against my doorway. It's amusing how much taller I am compared to him.

"What do you want with Leah?"

"Quite frankly it is none of your business."

I stepped closer toward him and looked down at him grinning and tilted my head balling my hands up.

"Oh it's all of my business."

He laughed at me and smirked. He's a cocky fucker isn't he. 

"What the hell is so funny?"

"Just you trying to be intimidating. I remember you now, you're the guy who was in Leah apartment the other night."

I bit my lip and tried to not lash out on him. He is Leah best friend I can't do anything to hurt their friendship. Well that is unless he crosses a line of some sort. 

"Yeah I am. How is that any of your concern?"

My voice was laced with anger at this point. All I wanted to do was go back inside and make Leah breakfast but this dick head won't stop running his mouth.

"Let's just say I've out lasted all of them and I can outlast you."

I grabbed the collar of his shirt and lifted him off the ground holding him against the wall. He was squirming under my grip and trying to pull my hands off of him.

"Now listen here you little shit..."

Before I could finish my sentence the door to my place opened and Leah was standing there in one of my shirts rubbing her eyes. She looked between Riley and me confused until I put him down and walked inside pulling Leah along with me and shut the door in Riley's face. I was so angry I didn't notice my grip on my baby's arm. 

"Daddy you're hurting me."

she pulled her arm and whinnied until I let go and started  pacing back and forth in the living room.

"Leah I want you to stay away from him you understand me."

She looked shocked and laughed a little and kissed my cheek.

"Daddy stop joking around."

"Princess I am not joking. I want you to stay away from him. I don't trust him."

She looked confused and blinked looking at me. 

"But daddy he is my best friend I can't just stop talking to him all of a sudden.

I had to admit she had a point but I was so mad it didn't register in my mind. Riley was trying to take my babygirl from me and I'd be damned if I let that ass take her from me.  I was kept pacing trying to control my anger. 

"Princess please just trust me."

She rolled her eyes and walked away.

"Excuse me what was that?!"

I understand she is frustrated but eye rolling I can not take.

"Daddy you are being ridiculous I've know Riley since I was little you don't know him like I do!" 

"I may not know him like you do princess but I for sure know how guys think!"

She glared at me and walked out to her apartment. She just doesn't understand. I slammed my door shut and punched the wall leaving a dent in it. My hand was throbbing but I don't care right now. I need to find out a way for Leah to believe me. But how? I pulled at my hair groaning loudly. I don't want to lose her.
