These are the battle moves I currently know, there could be more. If so, let me know and I'll add them in. I put them in different categories as I picture them. Easier Battle Moves would be for younger apprentices to learn, then once their around three moons into their apprenticeship they start with the harder ones, or just after they have all the easy moves down. Of course, that's just how I picture and will have it in my book, but it's completely up to you!
Easier Battle Moves:
Back Rake- a bit like belly rake, if you're fighting a cat from the front, jump over the cat's head and score your claws down their back.
Belly Rake- a bit like the back rake, when you're fighting with a cat and tackle them, or they tackle you, score your claws down their stomach. This attack will quickly put you back in control. For more advanced training, you can slide over the ground, flip onto your back, and scratch your opponent's stomach
Front Paw Blow- bring your front paws down hard on your opponent's head, claws unsheathed, try to aim for the eyes to temporarily blind them.
Front Paw Strike- slice downward with your front paw at the body or face of your opponent, claws unsheathed, try to aim for the eyes to temporarily blind them.
Tail Trip- the opponent moves to you and at the right moment, trip them with your tail.
Teeth Grip- Target your opponent's extremities, the legs, tail, scruff, or ears, and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap and hold, except your claws remain free to fight.
Unbalancing Act- if a cat is going to bring down all its weight on you while rearing on its back legs, roll towards your opponent's hind legs to unbalance him
Play Dead/Give in- Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp, and when your opponent relaxes his grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and you are in the attacking position
Harder Battle Moves:
Back Kick- An explosive surprise to catch your opponent from behind. Judge opponents distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking the weight on your front paws.
Partner Fighting- warriors who have trained and fought together will often instinctively fall into a paired defensive position, each protecting the other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Leap and Hold- ideal for a small cat facing a large opponent. Spring onto your opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of your opponent's paws and in the position to inflict severe body wounds. They may try to flip onto their back, so you need to be ready to leap away if that happens.
Scruff Shake- Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponent's neck, then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, which are small enough to throw.
Dizzy Dance- (Best to perform as a small, quick cat against a larger opponent) Charge head on then swiftly leap sideways, ducking under your enemy, and pop up on the other side, slashing your claws on their side then running behind them. Your enemy will whip around to face you, giving you a chance to run on their open side, keeping your tail tucked, then you race away. If your enemy doesn't give chase, bound back and taunt them by running in large circles. Once they start chasing you, find something like a bush to run around, but make sure they won't double back. Continue until they start to tire, and then, when they least expect it, suddenly turn around and attack their face, clawing at their eyes to blind them quickly. Then, before they can realize what happened, use their head to leap up onto their back and dig in your claws. Jump from their back and race away, causing them to be in confusion. By then, hopefully, your enemy will decide not to mess with you. Make sure you are fast enough to do this and you can't be caught. If you are, fight back as quickly as you can then make a break for it. Another thing is to make sure this is one on one, so another cat can't interfere.
Double Side Strike- jump to one side in front of your opponent, then suddenly leap to the other and attack their exposed side. You must be very quick and if you are smaller than your opponent dig your claws into their shoulder and swing onto their back.
Upright Lock- Finial, crushing move on an already weakened opponent. Rear up on your back legs and bring full weight on your opponent. If your opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This move makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so requires great strength and speed
Leap and Cover- Ideal for making your opponent feel much pain, leap onto your opponent's back and put your paws over their eyes. For the moment the opponent is blinded, sink your claws into the soft skin around their eyes. If your opponent doesn't run away, take advantage of their temporary blindness and perform leap and hold. (Slightly dishonorable, usually used when the other cat is much stronger than you)
Dishonorable Battle Moves: (used by rogues/invaders or in desperate measures)
Double Death Bite- a partner and you take on one cat. Once you've got a hold of your opponent, your partner helps hold down the enemy cat, and you both bite hard down on the enemy's throat. Two pairs of jaws will cut off the airway and the cat will choke to death.
Stealth Killing Bite- stalk to your target and leap at them silently, jumping onto their back and digging your teeth deep in their neck, and digging your claws into their upper chest, try to go for the neck if you need to.
Killing Bite- rise up like you're rearing up to tackle your opponent, then suddenly slice your claws over their throat as deep as you can, and follow it with your other paw if you can to make sure it had the right effect.
Tree Battle Moves
Sky-crusher- leaping from a tree and landing with all four paws on top of an opponent, flattening him like a leaf.
Flick-over- landing with front paws outstretched to sweep the opponent off his feet and roll him onto the back.
Kick- kicking down hard as the warrior nears the ground, then using the momentum from landing to spring away before the opponent can retaliate.
Slice- dropping down with claws unsheathed for maximum injury.
Branch Swing- holding on to the branch with front claws and swinging hind legs into the opponent's face.
Reverse Branch Swing- holding on to the branch with back claws and striking with front legs through the swing.
Trunk Swing- sliding down the trunk and springing off at head height, using hind legs to push off and clear opponents.
Reserve Climb- climbing backward up the trunk as the opponent advances to gain an advantage of height, often followed by Trunk Swing.
Water Battle Moves
Double Front Paw- splashes water into the face of the enemy.
Underwater Leg Sweep- the opponent will not see it coming under the water so won't have a chance to brace himself before losing his balance.
Push-down and Release- almost all non-RiverClan cats panic if they are submerged, while RiverClan cats know how to hold their breath underwater. This move can be used to secure a decisive victory because it's most likely to make the opponent surrender.
Underwater Clinch- uses warrior's weight to hold the opponent below the surface, with a firm grip that enables the warrior to bring his enemy sputtering back to the surface before forcing him under again.
Tail Splash- temporarily blinds opponent by flicking water in his eyes.
Underwater Push-Off- crouching and erupting out of the water into opponents, using surprise and impact to knock him off balance.
Rushpaw Splash- using the noise of water splashed at a distance to create a decoy, leaving opportunity for a surprise attack
