Leader:
The leader is, clearly, the leader of the Clan. Surprise! These cats are usually the bravest and the strongest, which is why they became leader. They are given nine lives by their warrior ancestors to watch over their Clan. These cats keep order and are the final deciders for any decision made, though the best leaders are the ones who keep close to their Clanmates and make decisions with them. Clan leaders don't have to go on patrols or take on apprentices, for they can do whatever they want as long as it is inside the warrior code. Though, the leader may still break the code if they see fit.
Deputy:
The deputy is second-in-command, chosen by the leader to help with the duties of Clan life. They make sure order is there and choose cats for the patrols. They are close to the leader and are another helper of important decisions, such as battles. Once the current leader loses all their lives, the deputy will take over and go to receive their nine lives from StarClan
Medicine Cat:
These cats are the ones who want to heal with herbs than hurt with claws. They are usually soft-hearted, though some can be quite snappy. These cats are separate from their Clanmates and are very close to StarClan. They receive prophecies, visions, and omens from their warrior ancestors, which are usually confusing but end up being clear afterward. In the medicine cat code, it says medicine cats cannot have a mate or kits. (Though I didn't like that and changed it for me. I'll explain later on in Section Two) There is usually only one medicine cat then, when they are older, their apprentice. They are close to the Clan leader and helps them with important decisions, and the life of every cat in the Clan is in their paws.
Warriors:
These are cats over twelve moons old(one year) until they are too old to do their duties correctly. They patrol the borders with enemy Clans and hunt for prey, without leaving the territory unless with permission of their Clan leader. They follow the words of the leader, deputy, and medicine cat. Once cats have been warriors for quite a few moons, they may take an apprentice and train them under the warrior code to hunt and fight in the name of their Clan.
Apprentices:
These cats are over six moons and under twelve moons, unless something has happened and they must serve apprenticeship longer. They follow the warrior code closely and listen to any warrior from their Clan. They may not eat until the elders, queens, and kits have been fed, and they must have hunted before they may eat; unless they are in early apprenticeship and can not hunt properly yet. All apprentices are in charge of keeping the camp clean; changing out the nursery and elders' den nest, checking the elders for fleas and ticks, etc.
Queens:
Queens are she-cats that are expecting kits or have kits under six moons old. They usually stay in the nursery with their young until they become apprentices, though they can go on a patrol once and awhile when the kits are old enough to be left without their mother (though they still must be under watch, usually by apprentices) Once their kits are apprenticed, they go back to warrior duties, unless they want to stay permanently in the nursery to help other queens.
Kits:
From when they're born to six moons old, kits are always under watch and not allowed to leave camp. They are watched by their mother until they are at least two moons old, then they can be left with a warrior who has free time or a responsible apprentice. They pass the time by listening to stories given by the elders, playing with each other, or causing mischief around camp.
Elders:
Elders are the warriors and/or queens who have served their Clans for many moons and have earned a few seasons of rest before joining StarClan. They usually stay in their den or visit the nursery, and it likely that some leaders will visit them to get wisdom from the older cats. They keep the Clan history alive by telling stories to the kits of the Clan and sometimes watch them when the mother leaves. They are respected and well-cared for, getting to eat at the same time as queens and kits. The Clan apprentices will make them new nests and clean their fur of ticks and fleas, and will sometimes be earned a story.
