Here's the last member of the magical girl trio. I think you'll like how she turned out.

While the previous two girls had motifs of stars and hearts respectively, this girl has the motif of butterflies. Not only is the shape in her wand and her magic, but also in the short cape that's attached to her top. I think the outfit is really cool. I love all the little details, and the gloves came out pretty nicely, too!

I purposely styled her hair in a low ponytail because I was extremely tempted to draw her hair tied up high. However, I've seen lots of anime characters with that hairstyle, and though it portrays confidence and boldness, I wanted to subvert it a little bit. To me, a low ponytail represents a more passive, studious personality, but I wanted this girl to be a leader in spite of that.

You can tell by her face and her stance that she's focused, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to fight back against the forces of evil. As the head of the trio, her powers pack a punch—with help from her friends, she's able to deliver the final blow. Not only that, she has the most innate magic within her, and can sometimes even channel magic without the help of a wand. Her moves are dynamic and fast-paced: staying still means a chance for the opponent to strike. She operates with grace and poise, and is in control—well, most of the time. To me, her face actually looks like she's holding back her fear and fighting anyway. But since she's not alone, I know she'll be able to succeed.

For her wand, I made sure it was similar to the others, with a prominent shape, ribbons, and gold accents

For her wand, I made sure it was similar to the others, with a prominent shape, ribbons, and gold accents. It's also unique, though, in its middle detail within the butterfly shape, which is meant to resemble a queen's crown and signify her leadership.

What do you think? Does this girl live up to the challenges she faces? And what about the trio as a whole—do you have a favorite member? Share your thoughts with me in the comments!

Thanks so much for reading, and see you next time!
