You can probably tell that this drawing has a theme of chess. Almost all of the coloring is black and white. Still, I think it adds a certain boldness to the picture.
This girl's regal outfit and crown make her feel like a chess princess, or even a queen. I had a little trouble designing her dress and gloves, but I was finally able to achieve something I liked.
I also tried something completely new and interesting by giving her a modern weapon, though I did add gilded silver art and a black ribbon to fit with the theme. The gun seems to be firing a bullet of light shaped like a chess piece. It's a neat idea, no?
It's nice to get my creativity flowing. I did these last three drawings all around the same time frame, and it's kinda fun to see all the different things I can come up with. I hope you're enjoying it just as much as I am!
