*Characters belong to the Pokémon Company. I do not own it.
I made this for a friend's birthday recently. They mentioned wanting a plush of this character. Manufactured ones that you can buy from the brand already exist, but I didn't have time to shop around for one, and I knew I could figure out how to make one myself. I hope my friend won't mind that it's homemade.
It's a plush of Mimikyu, a Pokémon who dresses itself up like the ever-popular Pikachu in the hopes that someday it will be loved. It's not perfect, but I'm still proud of my work.
And it can even stand up! I haven't given the gift yet, but I hope my friend will like it.
I rarely sew things nowadays, though, and when I do, it's pretty much always little felt handicrafts made by hand. Now my hand is sore from working on it...needles can be stubborn. I probably shouldn't have hunched over so much while I sewed, either, but I'm glad I was able to do it.
What do you think? Is this Mimikyu plushie cute enough to love?
