★Joslynn's POV★
The halls were quiet after Ace left, not even Bianca dared to make a squeak. She grabbed Tony's hand and retreated with her crew in the opposite direction in which Ace had left. My body was weak, so it slid to the floor. I was left on the floor with a serious headache, I placed my hand on my head hoping for the pain to stop, when I remembered the pills Dr. Reynold gave me.I tried to stand to reach my locker, but my body fought against me, feeling tired I surrendered and fell to the floor.
"Need help?" A friendly hand was extended out to help me, I looked up at the body that was attached to the hand, it was Alisa Holter from History.
I gladly accepted the help, I held onto her hand and she hoisted me up to my feet. I was amazed, yet scared, at her incredible strength. She didn't look like a person who had so much strength. Alisa had long, strawberry blonde hair, her lips were full, she was the same height as me, but she definitely had more curves than me, her eyes were a familiar green, and she had a complexion that was between tan and fair. She laughed, almost as if she was reading my thoughts.
"My brother teaches me to defend myself," She explains. "that's why I'm kinda strong. Not as strong as my brother though, but good enough." She smiled to herself.
Her brother must be tough. Who is her brother?
"My brother?" She said aloud. She answered as if she can hear my thoughts. "Well, my brother is... lots of people know him...it's- well- he's!" She stopped, she was trying to find the words in her head.
"I'm sorry!" She laughed, realizing that I was waiting. She likes to laugh and smile a lot. "You see, it's kinda hard for me to say but...my brother is Ace!"
My jaw dropped, and I was beyond shocked. Then again, when I think about it, they have the same surname so that could've been a hint, but then again there are lots of students with the same surnames and they aren't related; also they have similar physical qualities like their- eyes! Her eyes remind me of Ace, except his are cold and hers are warm. But wait! Why are they both seniors? Her next reply made me think she was a mind reader.
"Yeah, we're seniors, but not twins!" She made that part very clear. She then continued to explain. "Ace is nineteen, I'm eighteen, so we're not twins. Ace got held back a year when he went to jail." I could tell from her tone that she wasn't too fond when it came to people knowing that she and Ace were siblings.
"Anyways," She sang. "I hope you're alright. Anything broken?" She asked. I shook my head, telling her no, and gave her a thanking smile.
"Well, I gotta get to class, see you around Jossy!" She waved with a smile and walked away.
Looks like I've got a nickname, and maybe a friend.

It was lunch and I was heading to the library as usual, when someone grabbed my arm. My breathing paused and my heart raced. I expected the worse and my body tensed up.
"Where are you going?" My breathing resumed normally and I let out a breath in relief, when I realized it was Alisa. I pointed to the library to answer her, she looked confused.
"Aren't you gonna eat?" She asked, putting on a concerned face. I shook my head and continued to walk towards the library.
"Jossy, you can't miss lunch!" She lectured, holding onto my arm. When I didn't stop she pulled my arm making me halt.
"I'll buy you lunch!" She insisted, but I refused. "How about I come with you in the library?" She suggested. She looked innocent, so I agreed.
I entered the library, waving to Mrs. Jones and giving her a warm smile. I turned to go to my usual reading spot when Alisa held onto my hands, forbidding me to go.
"Hi Mrs. Jones!" Alisa greeted happily and politely, Mrs. Jones' face lit up at the sound of her voice. "How's your day been?"
"Quiet." They laughed. "And how was yours?"
"The usual. So I see you know Jossy?" She asked, looking suspicious.
"Of course, she comes in here every day." She replied, smiling to me.
"Oh really?" She sounded suspicious. "Do you know that she doesn't eat her lunch!"
What a tattletale!
I mentally facepalmed myself and I glared at her while she smiled. From the look on Mrs. Jones' face I knew she went to her overprotective mom mode.
"Baby, is this true?" She asked, I could hear the sass in her voice. I smiled nervously. "Well! If that's the case, you're not allowed in the library unless Alisa tells me that you ate your lunch. No excuses or exceptions!" She placed her hand on her hips - her famous pose for when she's serious - and looked at me. I nodded with a frown. I knew Alisa was doing a victory dance in her head.
"Shall we?" Alisa smiled. She bowed towards the door, exiting me out. I stuck out my tongue at her and we left the library.
