I sat in the passengers side of Ethan's car staring out the window at all the buildings that we drove past.
Despite my protests Ethan took it upon himself to drive me to go see Diego before he leaves today. I knew that he wanted to see Diego as well so I didn't fight him to much on it.
"Are you sure about this Rae?" Ethan asked briefly looking over at me before turning his attention back to the road
It took me a minute to reply. Is anyone really ever ready to let go of someone they love? It's not going to be easy for me to do but it has to be done.
"It's for the best" I whispered and went back to being lost in my endless thoughts

Ethan pulled in to the parking lot and I felt my heart drop. Fuck. This is it. This is actually going to happen.
I took my time getting out of the car. I was nervous and scared.
Me and Ethan walked side by side quietly into the building. It wasn't until we started walking down the hallway towards his room that my anxiety hit me and it hit me hard.
I knew it wasn't going to be easy but I wasn't expecting this to happen. Ethan pulled me into the nearest bathroom to calm me down but at this point I don't thing anything he does will help.
He sat me down on the toilet which was gross by the way because there was no lid and who knows what kind of germs were on the seat.
"Deep breaths Rae, deep breaths" Ethan said in a soothing voice, rubbing small circles on my hands with his thumbs
I tried to do what he told and every time it seemed like I was going to calm down it started all over. I had to get my shit together because I didn't have much time left to say bye to Diego. It would honestly kill me if I didn't say goodbye to him before he left.
"I want you to be one hundred percent sure your fine before we leave this bathroom" Ethan said wiping away the last of my tears
"I am" I sniffled
"Okay love, lets go"
He handed me a paper towel and I wiped my eyes glad that I decided not to wear make up today.
The rest of the walk to Diego's room was quick. The door was shut and we could hear faint voices coming from the other side. Ethan gave me a confused looked and I just shrugged. I don't know what's going on. Ethan waited another moment before knocking on the door.
The sounds of the voices stopped and a few seconds later Diego's door was being cracked open. The woman that standing behind the door was the woman I've only seen in pictures and talked to through texts. This isn't exactly how I planned on meeting her.
Candy opened the door further and stepped out shutting the door behind her. I heard Diego asking who was at the door but she ignored that. There was a slight frown on her face as she stood there looking between me and Ethan.
"You probably shouldn't be here" Candy said and that's all it took for me to break down again

So I was thinking about maybe doing a Q&A so y'all can get to know me better and I'll even start posting questions at the end of chapters to get to know y'all better.
