Chapter 17

"Hi gorgeous." Jayden said and leaned over to kiss my cheek as I sat down in the passenger seat. It was Tuesday evening and he had just picked me up from work. He had called me yesterday, asking if I had any plans for tonight. When I said no, he had demanded that we ate dinner together tonight. He didn't like how things ended Sunday.

"Hi, how was your day?" I asked as I threw my bag in the backseat.

"It was good thanks, I caught up with some friends, had a lay in, after being out late yesterday with some other friends. How was work?" He asked, pulling down a small road, trying to avoid the terrible London rush hour traffic.

"Well let's just say you had a better day, even with a hangover and everything."  I grumbled. I've had terrible costumers all day.

"I don't get why you don't change carrier? You're young, you can make it." Jayden frowned.

"We've already talked about this." I pointed out, letting out a sigh. I didn't want to go down that road again.

"I know. But have you tried to look into your option? What would you like to work with?" He asked glancing my way.

"Art I guess. But that's just a dream, that would never happen." I shrugged. It wasn't everyone's dreams that came true.

"Just promise me you'll look into it?" Jayden asked. I didn't know what I would look into, but I could always look at art, so I nodded. "Want to be unhealthy tonight?" He asked, a grin playing on his lips.

"I'm always up for that." I smiled at him.

"Okay. When we're closer to your home, I'll run for Pizza, you can run for beer?" He suggested, quickly looking my way. "Oh and ice-cream for dessert?" He added.

"Hell yeah." This was just what I needed.

"Kitchen or living room?" Jayden asked as we stepped into my flat. He of course, had insisted to pay for everything, but I hadn't let him, so he was a bit grumpy now.

"Living room. Then we can watch a movie as well. Just give me one minute? I'll be right back." I wanted to get out of my work clothes as soon as possible. So I walked to my room, pulling my shirt out of my skirt on my way. I quickly changed into my X-men T-shirt. Which I got from Amy last year, she bought us both a set, and some cotton shorts.
