Chapter 8

"Come on out with us tonight." Julie insisted over the phone.

"Thanks, but no thanks, I'm tired and I will just ruin your pub night." I excused myself.

"Okay Allison." Julie sighted and I couldn't help but make a face. "I don't care, next Thursday you're coming with us. I give you one week heads up. Plus Tash, Beth and Maya misses you. I would understand if you were still crying over Amy and was home because of that. But you're just on auto pilot. You go to work, you make food, clean up, you sleep, shower and visit your parents once a week. But that's it. You need to do something with your life again. You need to show some emotion." Julie exclaimed.

"I do, do something with my life. I just have a lot of work lately." I defended myself. I heard Julie letting out a sigh on the other end of the phone. I knew she was right, I was closing myself in, I just didn't want to admit it.

"Fine. But if you change your mind, then we are going to be at The Bear." She informed me before she ended the call.

I had just gotten up from the sofa, after my chat with Julie, and was just about to go change out of my work clothes, when someone knocked on my door.

I opened my door and was met with a solid chest. I raised my head and froze. In front of me was a man I thought I would never see again. Especially not in front of my door. "What are you doing here?" I got out.

"I'm here to keep a promise I made." He answered in his deep voice. "Well are you going to let me in or just stand there?" He asked me with a small grin.

I frowned before I stepped to the side and closed the door after him. I didn't get what he wanted here. "So how are you holding up?" He asked with what looked like genuine concern in his eyes.

"I'm fine I guess." I mumbled before I walked over to the sofa and sat down on it. I waved him over with my hand and he sat down beside me.

"I'm sorry to say this. But you don't look too good. Is there anything I can do for you? Are you coming down with something?" He asked me taking me by surprise. The times I'd met him before, did he not seem like the kind of person, who was aware of other people around him.

"Well my sister did pass away just a month ago." I bit out. I knew I must look like shit with dark bags under my eyes. But I couldn't help it, I had a hard time falling asleep and I had felt so empty this last month.

"I know. I miss her too. I had gotten so used to skyping with her. The first week I took myself in opening Skype to Skype with her. But this isn't healthy for you. She wouldn't want that for you either." He said a small frown appearing on his forehead.

"What are you doing here Jayden?" I asked letting out a sigh. I wasn't in the mood for this.

"Well I'm actually here because of your sister. Before she passed away, she asked me to do something for her. She asked me to make you watch this DVD and then make you do something. Let's start with the DVD shall we?" He asked as he pulled out a DVD from his bag.

"Hey wait up what? Make me do what?" I asked completely confused by his presence here.

"Just watch it and we'll talk after." He said before he reached for my computer and put the disk in. He pressed play before giving me back my computer, and walked out of the room. 'The bucket list by Amy' came up on the screen before the picture changed.

"Okay number one. Go up in London eye." I heard and saw Amy saying and I felt my eyes tear up. This was the movie we made back when she decided she didn't want to leave this world with any regret. I didn't move. I couldn't do it. I just sat there and watched her, watched us, goof around and do stuff. I couldn't help but smile a little when Jayden stepped into the picture, when she met him for the first time. I smiled with watery eyes the whole way through. I smiled when I saw our dinner on the roof, when she got her tree, when she kissed a random stranger. I couldn't even help but smile when she was panicking over her trip in London Eye.
