"Why did you suddenly open the door earlier by the way? "

Cloud ask as he take a sip from his milk. We're currently drinking some warm milk before going to bed when he raised that question out of the blue. A chuckle escaped my lips as I pulled the letter he wrote earlier.  I unfolded it and showed the letter to him.

"I miss your voice. "

Cloud's ears turned red as he looked away which made me laugh even more.  He looks so embarrassed with what he wrote in here but it's not about what he wrote it's about where the words were written. 

"Cloud, you know that you should write on the spaces not on the line right? "

He wrote the words on the lines of the paper!  Hahaha!  He tried grabbing the paper from me but I was quick enough to hide it behind my back.

"Hahaha!  Come on tell me why do you write on the lines? "

His face turned red as he pinch the bridge of his nose with a deep sigh.

"Promise me you won't laugh at me."

He said with a serious tone which is bad because it makes me wanna laugh even more.  I tried my very best to have a serious look on my face as I raised my right hand with a nod.  He looked away from me and he run his fingers through his hair before talking. 

"It's uh--it's my first time writing real words on a paper. "

It took me five seconds to process his statement and I tried so hard not to laugh but I ended up laughing while clapping my hands like a retarded seal.

"Hahahaha! It's--hahaha!  It's your first time?!  Unbelievable!  Even babies know how to write! Hahaha! "

He jokingly push my shoulder before running his fingers through his hair. 

"Not in this time, ok?  Yes we still use papers but everything in it is printed all we have to do is to sign on it."

Seriously?  The smile faded from my lips as I looked at him apologetically.  Cloud chuckled as he lean his back on the couch with his nose crinkled.

"Why are you giving me that kind of look? "

I shake my head as I pulled my feet up and hug my knees with my head leaning on it.

"It's just so sad. Letters are one of the most beautiful means of communication. "

Cloud let out a short laugh before licking his lower lip.

"But don't you think the means of communication today is so much better?  You talk to that person through a 6D call like he or she is really present. "

I shake my head with my lips pursed totally disagreeing to his statement.

"Letters are way more better. I can't even put into words how beautiful they are.  Casper used to write me a lot of letters before. "

A smile form in my lips as my mind unwire some memories of Casper's letters but that smile faded when I look at Cloud.  He was so quiet while looking at me making me realize it's not a good idea to talk about Casper in front of him.  I was like creating a comparison between the two,  I know that they really looked alike but they're not the same person.  I cleared my throat as I wave my hands in front of the T. V switching it on just to break the awkward silence.
