Chapter 25

  ❄️ F R O S T ❄️

"I said open the door now!"

I poke my head out of the window trying to check if they reached the ground safely but I could not see anything. The General keeps on knocking at the door every second and I don't know what to do at the moment. I look at Mhyco who's  sitting still without even blinking. His eyes are red because of crying and his  mind is completely in a haywire right now.

I heared the sound of metal and beeping of the door's passcode and right at that moment the door opened. Big guys with guns filled the room with the General behind, I hate this guy. I was not surprised that he's here with his cocky smile, what surprised me was the girl standing beside him. Isn't that...Cloud's fiance?

"Where is the woman from Isola and Lauren? "

The General said as he scan his eyes around the room.  I clenched my fist as I heard Lauren's name but I did my best to calm myself down or else it'll blow the whole cover up. 

"Who are you talking about? I've never seen a woman in this room since I came here."

I said looking as innocent as possible but also not missing out the plan to low-key insult Cloud's fiance.
She was not dumb not to know that I don't consider her as a woman or someone equal to Lauren. She glared at me like some Medusa in stories ready to petrify me.

"Stop lying, I heard her voice just a few minutes ago! I know she's here!"

She said as she walk around the room checking every corner and even the comfort room. I let out a sigh as I pinch the bridge of my nose.

"Then you must be hearing things."

Damn it! This girl is making things worse for us. I froze on my spot when she look at the open window. She rushed towards it and look at the emergency ladder.

"They freaking found their way out."

She said as she turn rowards the General.

"Sir the tracker. It's moving."

One of his men said as he showed him the hologram of the red dot moving away from us. He look at me one more time and it's intimidating me.

"Once I found out you're involve with this I swear you'll never get away with it.  Let's go men!  Move! "

He said leaving the room,  Cloud's fiance look at me from head to toe with her brows arched.

"What an old fashioned guy. "

She said before flipping her hair and leaving the room too,  following the General and his men. I immediately got my phone out and tried calling Lauren but she's not answering. If she get caught  this time she'll surely loss her ticket to the past.  I shut my eyes for a moment allowing my self to breathe because the situation keeps my heart beating like crazy.

I almost jumped on my spot when a pillow landed on my head. 

"Ow! "

I said while holding my head as I look at the person who threw it at me.  I was surprised when Mhyco got up and remove the needle on his hand making it bleed for a second.

"H-hey!  What are you doing? "

I immediately got the blanket and applied pressure on his bleeding hand.

"I won't allow him to take her away from me again. Let's go."

He said before rushing out of the room. I immediately grab my car keys and jacket then I followed Mhyco.
