Wake Me Up In Year 2202

Chapter 8

※ C L O U D ※

I was patiently waiting for Lauren to come home and I'm still tracking her location. I can see that she's only a few blocks but then she turned left and started speeding up.

"What the fvck?!"

I grabbed my car keys and rushed into the rain. Where is she going? I know she's not walking. I followed Lauren's location and it led me in an old white house. Scary thoughts started flooding my mind. What if I'm too late? What if something bad happened to her? The house is quiet with the large chandeliers on top. I scan my eyes around and spot an open door, I made a quick run towards the door and saw Lauren downstairs with some guy.

"Lauren!"

I was clearly out of my mind as I rushed downstairs giving the guy a good punch on his face.

"Cloud! Oh my God are you ok?"

Lauren pushed me  away and helped the dude stand up, his lower lip  bleeding because of my punch.

"You know him?!"

She rolled her eyes at me as she let out a sigh.

"Yes, he's---"

She blinked her eyes twice at the sudden realization that she doesn't know his name and she turned to face the guy.

"Ah what's your name?"

"Frost."

I can't believe this.

"You don't know his fvcking name and you're down in the basement with him?!"

I can feel my nostrils flaring because of Lauren's act. How could she go with some random stranger?! What if he was a psychopath or something. 
She turned to me and held my shoulders.

"I'm ok Cloud. I'm just here to borrow some books."

She stared into my eyes and somehow I felt my muscles relaxing.

"Let's go home."

I said in a stern voice.

"Later, I think Frost needs some help right now."

I let out a groan as looked at her.

"He's old enough to take good care of his self. Let's go home now."

She rolled her eyes again and crossed her arms.

"You're the reason of his bruised lips in the first place ok?"

I bit my lower lip before turning my back at her in frustration and started marching towards the stairs.

"I'm so sorry, he's a little bit impulsive and irrational sometimes."

I heard her say, hah! So I'm the one who's irrational and impulsive right now?

We sat on the couch and this Frost made some coffee for us.

"This tastes good, try it Cloud."

I gritted my teeth at Lauren as I leaned my back on the couch.

"I ain't drinking that shit, who knows he might put something in it to kill me."

I flinch as Lauren elbowed me. I gave her a what's wrong look and she just rolled her eyes at me again.
