"I-I'm ok Cloud."

I said nervously as my grip on the bags tightened feeling more nervous than ever! He didn't take his glare off his mother, his eyes were filled  with so much...hatred.

"I said what the fvck are you doing?!"

I jerk on my place and close my eyes feeling so scared of what could possibly happen today. We're also starting to draw attention from the crowd which is bad since they started filming us with their hand phones.

"Come on Cloud I was just asking a little favor from my daughter in-law."

I can feel my heart beating in my ears as Cloud walked towards me grabbing the bags from my hand and forcefully  tossing it on the floor. He gripped my wrist tight before facing his mother once more.

"You know what? I envy those people who never met you. Stop messing with my life, you already ruined everything what else do you want?! I am not one of your stupid toys!"

I can clearly see the rising and falling of his chest because of his heavy breathing. I wince in pain as I felt his grip grew even tighter on my wrist. I know he's not aware that he's hurting me with his grip right now. He started walking pulling me with him and I stayed quiet, I don't have the guts to talk to him right now.

He open the door of his car and I obediently went inside. He slammed the door close and get inside the car too. I was unaware that it's already dark, how long did I stay inside those shops?  We were both quiet during the ride until we reached the main bridge where he stopped at the side of the road. I don't want to ask him what's wrong and so I waited patiently for him to talk

"Why were you with her?"

He asked finakly breaking the silence without taking his hands off the steering wheel and his eyes still fixed on the road. I gulp hard as I started playing with my fingers.

"She asked me a favor this morning and---"

"Why did you say yes?!"

He yelled interrupting me. I can feel my breath shaking right now, I don't even know what to say.

"I just want to be nice to her--"

I was startled when he slam his hands on the steering wheel making me hold tight on my seat belt.

"Why do you have to be nice to her?! Who are you to decide what to do?!"

I can feel my eyes sting with tears but I tried my very best not to let it fall.

"I did it because you are my friend Cloud, I just want to--"

I stopped talking when Cloud begin to chuckle.  It wasn't a happy laugh at all,  it's a laugh filled with sarcasm.

"Friend?  Lauren you are not my fvcking friend.  You are just some random girl I met because of some stupid will! You are just a nobody so don't act like you can decide on your own!"

I could no longer stop my tears from falling as I look at Cloud.   I close eyes for a moment before inhaling deeply. 

"I'm sorry.  I'm sorry if I  gave meaning to your kind words and action towards me.  I'm---"
