"This won't do, we need to transfer to a new place as soon as possible. Those people won't leave us alone without getting a good story from us."

Cloud said as he turn the car on the right. I let out a sigh as I massage my temples.

"I'm sorry I messed things up."

I really feel sorry that he needs to leave his house because of me. He stared at me for a moment before shrugging his shoulders and fixing his gaze back on the street.

"My life has been a mess even before this anyways."

I don't know why, but I felt a pain knocking inside me as I listen to him. He sounds so hopeless, like he was deprived of sunshine for a very long time.

I cleared my throat clearly trying to divert my attention. I look outside the window, busy people are walking on the sidewalk with their eyes glued on their phone. They're probably enjoying a photo of me and Cloud right now. I shake my head as I tried to brush the thought off my mind.

"Why are you shaking your head like a retarded duck?"

I look at him and blink twice as I search for the right words to say. Of course I wouldn't tell him that I was thinking about the kiss that we shared  earlier!

"I uh--I'm hungry."

He raise his brows at me but then I saw a smirk at the corner of his lips.

"What do you want to eat then?"

It's my turn to raise my brow. He is so gentle towards me today.

"Uh instant noodles?"

He snorted at my reply like it was weird to ask for an instant noodles on a cold night.

"What's so funny about instant noodles mr. Madrigal?"

He press his lips clearly trying to stop his laughter as he shake his head.

"There's nothing wrong with it, mrs. Madrigal."

I hold my breath as I heard his statement. My lashes fluttered nervously as I stared outside the window. I can feel my cheeks heating up again. What is wrong with you Lauren?! Get a hold of your self!

"I know a place."

Cloud said before turning left. He doesn't seem affected with our situation right now nor the kiss that we had. Well, maybe that's because he probably kissed hundreds of girls before.

We stop in front of a 24/7 shop and I find the place amusing. It's like one of the shops we had back in the old days. You get a chance to personally pick the item that you want and pay it in the cashier, although the cashier is a robot the place still gives me the old vibes.

We went inside and Cloud pointed a table and chair for us at the corner of the shop just beside the glass wall. I inhaled deeply as I comfortably have my seat.

"What kind of instant noodles do you like?"

I felt the excitement inside me as random pictures of instant noodles flash in my mind.

"I'll go for spicy chicken flavour."

He nod his head before making his way towards the instant noodles section.

We ate in silence and I know we were both enjoying the food when a question pop in my mind all of a sudden.

"So, I didn't know that you're engage."
