Lucy's POV

I heard about the note Amanda had left. Apparently, it wasn't anyone's fault that she was going away. I thought it had something to do with Lukas. I heard about when he kissed her, and I knew how she had acted. I mean, she apologized of course. It still seemed weird that she would just leave for no reason.

Kaylee had stayed home. She was kind of bummed out about Amanda leaving. They're practically inseparable. I saw Lukas in the hallway and saw that his expression was blank. Someone had probably told him about the note. I walked up to him, and put my hand on his shoulder.

"It's not your fault she left.", I said to him.

"I mean, I know that. If she wants to go for a little while, she can."

I took my hand off of his shoulder.

"Hey, after school, do you wanna hang out? I've wanted to go to know you."

"Oh, sure, why not?", He smiled.

...

I stood near the door of the college, waiting for Lukas to come out of the building. I stood there for a little while before he finally came out. He waved to me. I smiled.

"Hey, Lucy. Lead the way.", Lukas said.

"Alright, follow me.", I said.

I started to walk. He followed close behind me. I eventually reached my dorm, and let him in. I closed the door behind me.

"Go ahead and sit down. Do you want anything to eat?"

"No thanks.", He said.

I took out two cups, and filled them each with water, and plopped one ice cube in each. I walked over to the couch and put the cups on coasters. He looked over at me.

"So... What do you want to do? Just, talk?", He asked.

"Obviously.", I clenched my stomach, "Oh, just hang on a second."

"Okay."

I quickly walked to my room and took quick breaths. I knew what I wanted to do, but I started to hesitate. I closed my eyes, and breathed deeply, then opened my eyes again. What I wanted to do was stupid and it would cause something horrible to happen, I just know it. I walked out of the room.

I walked back over to the living room and grabbed the remote.

"Just, put on whatever you want, If you want anything on while we talk.", I said.

He looked over at me, puzzled, but nodded, and took the remote. He turned on a show that I wasn't too familiar with. I pushed my back into the soft couch and looked around. I glanced at Lukas's face. I closed my eyes again. I scooted a bit closer to him. He looked towards me again. I gently placed my fingertips on his cheek. His eyes widened a bit. I moved my face closer to his. He didn't move, almost like he was paralyzed. I connected my lips with his, and took my other hand, intertwining my fingers with one of his hands. His eyes were wide open. He pulled away forcefully and stared blankly at me. He slowly stood up. His legs shook a bit.

"What was that?", He asked, his voice mixed with confusion, anger, and fear.

I stayed silent and stared at him.

"What would Amanda think of this?", He yelled.

He walked quickly to the door, and opened it, turning his head to face me.

"You should be ashamed.", His eyes stared into my soul.

He walked out the door and slammed it shut.

I sat completely still and looked at the bright screen of the TV. I knew something would happen. What did I expect? That he would fall in love with me on the stop or something? The things he said replayed over and over inside of my head. What would Amanda think of this? You should be ashamed. I put my head in my hands.

Only the sounds of the TV filled the room.
