Fifteen: Sneaking Around

"Get down," Bane said, immediately lowering himself to the floor. As Ahsoka copied he said, "Crawl behind me and stay low."

He began to crawl around the back of the bar room, towards the rear exit. Ahsoka followed him.

Suddenly, a shock trooper turned on the row Bane was on.

 "Watch out!" Ahsoka hissed. Bane saw the trooper just in time and rolled out of the trooper's field of vision before he was spotted.

Ahsoka focused the Force on knocking over a glass behind the counter, distracting the clones long enough for her to follow Bane.

The rear exit was open, and Bane and Ahsoka managed to slip outside before Fox ordered it secured. 

 "Follow me," Bane said, and walked casually toward a medium sized ship with considerable defenses. The ramp was open and a few spice crates were in the cargo hatch.

 "Act like we own it," he hissed. Ahsoka followed him up the ramp. Bane immediately hit a button to close the hatch, then took off for the bridge, a blaster pistol in hand. 

Ahsoka followed. Bane had already killed the ship crew and stacked their bodies by the time she caught up, though, and was starting up the ship when an astromech droid came from nowhere with its electro -jabber out. 

It rounded on Bane and shocked him twice in the leg while he was entering the command codes.

 "Shoot dat thing!" He ordered, kicking at it with a free leg.

Ahsoka activated her lightsaber and slashed at the droid, effectively disabling one of its legs. It chirped sadly and then screeched violently.

Ahsoka dodged its jabber and the ship hummed to life. Bane turned around and shot the droid until its lights died.

 "Next time kill it when I say so," he said, and set a course. 

 " Wait, where are we going? " Ahsoka asked.

 Bane turned around and smirked. "Why, 'chu got plans?"

 Ahsoka glared at him and he snorted. 

 "We're going to Nar Shaddaa. Prepare yourself."

 "Please. I just survived that bar business. Prepare myself?" Ahsoka scoffed. "How bad could it be? "

Cad Bane only smirked and hit hyperspace, making Ahsoka wonder why she had gotten on a ship with him in the first place.
