Twenty-one: Explanations

Ahsoka hissed in a breath, trying to cover herself up. Bane stared at her unblinking for a full minute.

Then he burst out laughing.

 "What the hell happened to you?" he gasped. 

 Ahsoka grimaced and tried (unsuccessfully) to wrap herself in a ball.

"Well c'mere," Bane muttered.

 " Uh, no. " Ahsoka said.

Bane laughed. "You just gonna sit there?"

 "Yes?"

 He started laughing so hard that tears came out of his eyes.

 "What's so funny?" Said a voice, and a clone came down the hallway to stand in front of the cell.

Ahsoka turned to see who it was, and found herself staring into Cody's helmet.

 "Do you see this?" Cody asked, pulling at his body glove where it was held tight under his armor.

 "Do you know what we call these? We call them clothes. We tend to wear them, you know, on our bodies?"

 Ahsoka buried her face in her hands and Cody seemed to soften a bit. He unlocked the cell and crouched next to her. She leaned into him, and he turned so Bane could not see her.

Bane pretended to retch. 

Cody put his arms around her. "Do you want me to go get you something to wear?"

Ahsoka nodded.

 "Ain't 'chu gonna ask what 'appened to 'er?" Bane asked criticality.

 "If she wants to tell me," Cody responded.

 "Actually, it was Master Kenobi," Ahsoka said. "He dragged me to his room."

Cody and Bane both responded to this with equal anger, shouting awful things about Obi-Wan. 

Ahsoka honestly didn't know what to think about it.

 "Jus' let me outta 'ese binders an' we'll see if that slimy Hutt-murderer does anythin' like it again!" Bane growled. Ahsoka wondered why he was so upset when he'd done practically the same thing.

Cody gave Bane a look of obvious disgust. Then he picked up Ahsoka and carried her out of the cell, locking the door behind her. He took her to his sleeping roll and covered her up.

 "Stay there," he said. "Nobody will mess with you."

 So Ahsoka curled up and went to sleep.

A/N: 

Well, I'm debating how far to bring this story. It isn't done yet, but I am planning on starting new things, and I don't know how far to take it.
