Nineteen: Taken Into Custody

Hondo lured Ahsoka and Bane back into the bay, and Kenobi's hand went up.

 "On my mark, men," he said. Cody heard a few troopers shuffling behind him. 

 "And we're going for stun shots only," Kenobi said.

 "Yes sir," the clones said. 

 "Right this way, you can tell me if the payment is to your liking. . ." Hondo droned, leading Bane to a large crate near the clones' hiding position. Ahsoka followed behind. Cody watched her carefully. She didn't seem to be hurt.

Then her eyes closed, and she wore a troubled expression, stopping in her tracks. Her hand went to her lightsaber. Cody drew in a sharp breath.

 "General Kenobi, she knows we're here."

 Kenobi didn't seem surprised.

 "Bane!" Ahsoka shouted. "Come here!"

Bane turned around, annoyed. He said something to Hondo in a low voice, then walked over to Ahsoka. Cody almost winced when the Duros took her hand and mumbled something with an almost caring look on his face.

Ahsoka muttered something to him, and he nodded sharply.

 "Shoot now!" Kenobi shouted. Cody raised his blaster and shot Bane twice, watching the circles of blue energy hit him.

 Someone else had gotten Ahsoka. Both of them were out cold.

Cody watched Ahsoka's sleeping form through the ray window. Both her and the bounty hunter had been thrown in together, but Bane was cuffed and chained to the wall and the floor. 

She's not a criminal, Cody thought. He reached his hand for the lock.

 "Oh no you don't," said Kenobi . "She's had a traumatic experience; don't go raping her now."

 " I wasn—"

 "Go and work out or something. Get away from this area of the ship."

 Cody sighed. "Yes sir."
