RYAN ON THE SIDE
recap :
' If you didn't want to sit with us you just could've said so. ' Her eyes were glazing over, which mean tears were coming soon.
I feel horrible.
' I-it's not that M-Megan. E-everyone was s-staring, I-I couldn't, I'm s-scared. ' Her whole expression changed from hurt, to pity, to sympathy. But that's the thing, I don't want pity or sympathy. I'm strong, heck I'm the best fighter in town !
But I do want to be her friend...
Chapter 6 part 3
' Are you scared? ' We've been sitting here just a few minutes in silence when that question came. Now I have two options.
1 : I say yes and she takes me back to her friends and finally I may have a girl friend. Something I've wanted for some time now.
2 : I say no, insult her. No one has the chance anymore to find out about me but I'll be ruining my only chance to have a friend. And I'll be a total bitch and that's not my nature.
Decisions, decisions, which one to choose...
'Y-yes. ' After the short answer left my mouth, all I wanted to do was suck them back in. But I also praised them. It's a weird feeling. I'm stuck choosing between something I want and something I need.
' Come 'ere. ' She gave me a bone crushing hug and took my hand. Together we walked back to the lunchroom. Luckily when we came in, not the whole room was staring at us, just a few people looking odd at us. Megan gave my hand a squeeze just before we reached the table where 2 other girls were seated, discussing something very animated.
' Ladies, this is Sky, Sky, these are my bìtches. ' Now I really had to stifle a laugh because they simultaneously stood up and made a bow.
'Hi, I'm Cara. ' A peach blonde haired girl said. She had the most genuine smile on her face when she engulfed me in a hug.
' And I'm Demi. ' Demi looked totally different than the others. The others were typical girls, the decent ones, no slutty clothing over overdo make-up. But Demi was dressed in black, totally. She was no Goth but I think she's distant from all the "girls wear". I couldn't blame her though. I hate my clothes I wear for school. They're too girly for my liking. i have a feeling Demi and I are similar to each other, except from the fact that she doesn't lie to the whole school.
'H-hi there, I-I'm Sky. ' Maybe it's best not to tell them my whole name. I don't even know if Connor and Megan know.
' Is that your full name ? ' What do I say ? yes ?
' Y-yes. ' It sounded anything but confident. I hope they don't see it. But then again , I'm always shy in school. Except for when Connor is there., that guy can be in a room with me for 3 seconds and I would already be annoyed.
Why the hell does every conversation I have with myself lead to Connor fùcking black?
I hate my brain. I really do.
'So, Sky, tell us something bout yourself. ' Cara asked leanign her elbows on the table while the rest mimicked her actions. So now I understand again why exactl I didn't want to have friends. It must have slipped my mind because right now, I'm in deep shit. I don't want to start a friendship with a lie, yet I don't want to tell 4 people I just met my biggest secret.
