"Whoever did this is gonna pay," A guy said.
If they're trying to scare me, they are doing a terrible job.
My eyes were focused on the ceiling, waiting for someone's head to poke into my view.
"They got him good," A Woman stated.
I positioned my head so I could see the people surrounding the man's body.
A man with a black beard, maybe about forty, spoke, "We know that they're armed."
"And we have guns," The blonde woman stated.
I shot back as another man walked into the store, from what I saw, he looked to be the leader of the group of people by the way everyone straightened.
He walked over towards the counter and leaned against it, "Don't worry, everyone," His voice was stern, "We'll find her."
I froze.
"Her?" The woman asked, "How do you know?"
"Girls always go for the throat," He stated.
He clapped his hands, "Now, let's start from the back and work our way forward."
Feet shuffled around towards the back of the store, while the man continued to lean on the counter.
"Nothing here, Diesel," A man called.
"Doesn't matter," Diesel said, "I got 'er."
simultaneously, we pulled out our weapons, I swiftly swiped my knife on his face, while he pulled a gun out of his waistband and held it at my head, completely ignoring the blood leaking from the wound. The others around the room aimed their guns at me.
Now that I could see him, He had a very short beard -- grey hairs littered it -- medium length hair, and soon, a new scar by his eye.
"Cindy almost found you," He said.
"Cindy sounds like a bitch," I sneered.
"Um, I'm Cindy," A black girl stated, "watch your mouth."
I glanced at her and then back at Diesel, "Cindy's a bitch."
Cindy walked closer to me, shoving the gun in my face, "Say something else, bitch." She threatened.
"Something else, bitch," I retorted lazily.
"Come on, let me end her, she's just one of them," She stated.
He held up a hand and then put his gun down, he looked at me expectantly.
"What the fuck am I doing," I muttered as I put the knife down at my side.
"Now, everyone else put your weapons down," He ordered.
A man spoke up, "She still has the knife at her side!" He complained.
"Now, now, I don't think she will do anything rash while there are people surrounding her, " He turned to me, " will she?"
"Oh, no, I will, I'm just being nice," I stated.
"See?" The man said.
"Put. It. Down," Diesel ordered to the man.
The man put the gun back in its holster and stood tensely.
Diesel turned back to me, "You do not seem like you've been on your own," He said.
"Cool," I stated.
"Where's your group?" He asked.
"Group? Fuck people," I answered.
He snickered, "You have a walkie-talkie on the hip," He stated.
"Maybe I like to play pretend," I said.
He let out a full-on laugh, "You are a joker," He said. "Now, again. Where is your group?" He asked again.
"Up my ass," I said, annoyance in my tone.
"Do you know who's asking these questions?" Diesel asked.
" Some ass hat named Diesel," I answered.
"I really don't know what to do with you..." He said.
" Well, I think you have two or three options," I stated.
"And what are those options?" He asked.
"you're really gonna make me sa-- fine. One, kill me, obviously. Two, let me go, unlikely," I said.
"Okay," He said, "I'll choose... option... three!" He yelled.
"There isn't a third opti--" I began to say.
My eyes narrowed, and a sudden pain sprung from the back of my head.
My face as it hit the floor. My vision became blurry quickly and the room began to sway, along with the people that were now surrounding me, probably tying me up. I tried to reach out to my knife, but it seemed to just get farther away from my hand the more I reached.
Another pain exploded by my ear, and black dots flooded my vision, and soon, I was encapsulated in complete darkness.
