~ DYLAN'S POV ~

"I should've taken the shot," I mumbled rubbing my head.

"No shit Sherlock, now Jaiden's hanging out with a random fucking group, probably dead," Nathan said.

"Jaiden is not dead," I stated.

"Probably is, that girl doesn't know when to shut her mouth," Eric retorted.

"I think she does know when to shut up, but she chooses not to," Izzy stated.

"Why the hell are we just standing around talking, we should be out looking for her!" I yelled.

"You know the rule, Dyl, we have to wait 48 hours before searching. Only have four left," Izzy stated.

I threw my hands in the air, "Who the hell came up with that rule?!" I yelled.

"Jaiden," Izzy answered, "Jaiden came up with the rule, so, we need to follow it."

I scoffed, "You're the leader of this damn place, change the rule, it can't be that hard to announce it to the five of us," I said.

"Dylan just wait it out man," Eric paused, "I mean, we all could use a break from her."

I took a deep breath and turned around, "She was taken by another group. She could be dead. Is that all you care about?" I asked, "getting a break from her?"

At this point, I had moved forward and was now in his face, pretty close to smashing it into the wall, too.

Nathan put his hand on my shoulder, "Back off man," He ordered.

I glanced at Nate and then back at Eric, who had turned a shade lighter than before, "Watch what you say."

I turned to Izzy, "four hours?" I asked.

"Four hours," she assured.

I let out a breath and walked out the door, I could hear footsteps following behind me.

A part of me wanted it to be Eric wanting to say something else, but another half just wanted it to be Izzy telling me I was right, that we should go out and look for her now.

I continued walking down the hallway, eventually leading to the exit, which I opened swiftly, letting it slam behind me.

But that slam never came.

"What the hell was that man?" Nathan's voice said.

I turned around and say Nathan leaning against the door, in his normal chill manner, not a bone in his body said that he was worried.

"What was what?" I asked.

He tilted his head, "In there, that ain't you," He said.

"Maybe it is, who knows," I said.

We stood in silence for a few seconds, I looked up as I felt Nate began studying my face.

"You gotta get some sleep," He stated.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Bro, you got bags hanging like your girl just went shopping," He stated.

I laughed at his weird choice of words, "Where the hell do you come up with this shit?" I asked.

"No clue. Just sorta comes out," He said pushing himself off the door.

He knocked into me," Come on, lets walk bro."

"Can I ask you something?" He asked.

"Shoot," I said.

"Do you really think Jaiden is dead right now?" He asked.

"I don't know. I really don't know," I answered.

He laughed, "Imagine she slept with someone there to get out, that'd be funny as hell," He stated.

I tensed slightly, "No it wouldn't."

He nodded his head toward me, "I knew it," He stated.

"What?" I asked.

He laughed, "Dylan has a crush!" He sang.

I smiled shyly, "The hell I do," I said.

"Seriously, don't act dumb man, I can see right through it," He said.

"It doesn't matter," I stated.

He shoved me, "If I can live to see you get a girl, I will be able to die peacefully."

I laughed, "I hate you."

"So, when you gonna make a move?" He asked.

I scoffed, "Never."

"That's funny," He stated.

Nate looked at me, then at the dorms that were in the distance, he brought his hand up to my face and slapped me hard, then ran towards the dorms.

"Bye motherfucker!" He yelled.

I stared at him until he disappeared into the dorms, I was left to hang out by myself so I sat on a huge ass boulder, you know, the ones pioneers used to ride for miles.

Yep, that kind of boulder.

~~~
"Dylan!"
I shot up and looked around looking for the voice that was calling my name, but there was no one around.
"Dyl, come on man," Eric said.
Oh right, I have a walkie-talkie,
fucking idiot.
"What's up?" I asked.
Silence.
"Eric," I said.
"I'm sorry, Eric can't come to the phone right now. Why? because he's fucking dead!"
Jaiden's back.
