"...in," a muffled voice said.

I continued walking up the stairs and a door closed up above, most likely the door to Izzy's office. I rounded the corner as Eric exited her office and walked quickly down the stairs towards the exit.

As I opened the door to Izzy's office, I was surprised to find Diesel sitting in a chair, with nobody around to watch him.

"Hey, Jaiden!" Diesel said.

I glared at him, "Where's Izzy at?" I asked.

"Had to get something," He stated, "That Eric guy was here before."

"Yeah I know, I saw him leaving," I said.

"He's a cool guy," He stated.

I narrowed my eyes at him, "What were you guys talking about?"

"What?" He asked.

"I heard you guys talking," I said.

"Oh, the usual small talk stuff," He stated.

Izzy walked through the door, cutting my interrogation short.

"Oh, Jaiden, when did you get here?" She asked.

I sat on the couch, "Couple minutes ago."

"I was just gonna call Dylan here to transport him out, but since your here..." She trailed off.

I stood back up, "Yes, I will bring him back to his pumpkin carriage."

Izzy opened up a drawer and pulled out the piece of a fabric and handed it to me.

I went behind Diesel and roughly tied it around his eyes earning some groans from how rough I was being with him.

I grabbed Diesel's hands, pinned them behind his back, and walked him out of the house.

As we were walking down the road, Sara popped up.

"I forgot you existed," I stated.

"I'm your sister, how could you do that?" She noticed Diesel in my arms and looked at me confused, "Who is this dude?"

"None of your business, and get to the barracks, everyone's supposed to be there," I stated.

"I just got back, why can't I stay out?" She asked.

I halted, Diesel almost fell down to the ground, "Listen to me, get to the  barracks, alright?  You don't get to be my friend and all after the shit you pulled."

I pushed Diesel forward and continued walking, hoping that Sara would just follow my orders and leave, but she jogged back up to my side.

"It was an accident," She stated.

I raised my eyebrows at her, "That was no accident."

"You guys have a lot of shit to work through," Diesel muttered.

I kicked him in the back of the leg, "Shut the fuck up," I growled.

"What? You don't trust what I say?" She asked shocked.

I sighed, "You had bad blood with them for a while, now, you come back from a scouting mission and they are all dead and you are missing all rounds in your gun. Coincidence? I think not."

She scoffed, "I told yo--"

"Go back to the barracks," I snapped.

She huffed, "Fine."

I stepped through the safety gate and hurried Diesel to the entrance gate.

Eric stood by the gate talking to the people from Diesel's group, "Eric," I snapped.

He turned to me, "What?" He asked confused.

I pushed Diesel towards him, "No socializing with the enemy."

Eric swiftly took the blindfold off if D's face and tossed it off to the side, he pushed open the gate and allowed Diesel to walk out towards his convoy filled with people.

I walked up to the gate and watched as Diesel got into the truck and turned it around, speeding away from our community and heading towards his.

I put my hands on the gate and slid it shut, almost crushing Eric's fingers in the process.

"Watch it!" He exclaimed.

"You should have paid attention," I stated.

"Are you always an asshole?" He questioned.

I smirked, "Once an asshole, always an asshole."
