I had never been the one at a funeral to fall on my knees and cry by the casket, or try and pull the body out the casket while it was being lowered into the ground, I had always kept to myself and broken down on my own.

I also got mad instead of sad.

Punched walls and smashed things instead of crying and curling up into a ball.

So, as you can guess, I am pretty pissed about this happening.

The thing that pisses me off the most about Izzy's death, isn't that she was killed by a person, even though that would suck, it's that it was Eric and new gang of people. An old friend.

I even thought that I might even die before she would. Mostly due to the fact that I cannot shut up in dangerous situations. It's not a nervous tick or anything, just wanting to push someone over the edge, so I had a reason for killing them or hurting them badly.

But, here I am, walking into the cafeteria while everyone stares me down, waiting to hear what comes out of my mouth.

Some may suspect this, some may just suspect the death of a civilian, others may be completely clueless and just think this is a briefing on new rules, or on the Commissioner problem we have.

I stepped up onto one of the main serving tables that lined the wall, "Okay."

Great start Jaiden

"About an hour ago, one of the holes in the wall -- hole seven -- was attacked by a group set up by The Commissioners," I paused as a few people gasped, "The people that were positioned at the hole were all killed," I announced

I looked out for a few seconds, people started crying over the death of their loved ones that were at the hole, others were in shock over the attack.

A man shot up from his seat, "What are the plans for the future with them? What's Izzy gonna do?" He asked

My heart sank, "We also lost another person in the attack." I stated, my face had fallen into an emotionless expression and I could feel the tension in my voice,

"Izzy."

When I had said that, the room went wild.

People were screaming, asking questions, some were sobbing. People with enough power to stop them began shouting at them to sit back down and listen to me talk, but they weren't letting up.

"Enough!" I yelled

People looked up, shock on their face, "Sit down. Shut up," I ordered. "By the means of the tier of our community and by Izzy's personal pick, I will be taking over the leadership of Ashen. Nathan and Dylan will be my seconds."

I stepped down from the table, wanting to get this over with, "Now, a funeral will be announced when the doctors and nurses give me the go. Everyone is free to do what they want for today. Go to the barracks, go to work, hang out with your family. I don't care, but you're not being forced to do anything right now."

With that, I walked down the middle lane and out the doors, heading straight for my office.
