"(Y/n)!", your mother calls. You run downstairs and see her standing by the front door. You ran toward her but accidentally bumped into something. Before you could fall back someone grabbed your wrist, pulling you to your feet. "You should be more careful, y'know". You look up and are met with the purple eyes of Hitoshi. "Oh hey, I didn't know you were here", you say, staring blankly at him. Your mother chuckled at your emotionless attitude and greeted the boy with a closed-eyed smile. "It was nice to finally meet you, Shinso-san". Yu was in the kitchen and the commotion peaked her interest. She poked her head around the door, her face lighting up at the sight of the purple haired boy beside you. "(Y/n)~", she sings, strolling over. "Who's this?~". "This is my friend, Hitoshi, you've met him before". She smirks and playfully elbows you in the side. "First name basis~", she giggles, ignoring what you had said. You fought the blush that attempted to creep onto your cheeks, you wouldn't give in and embarrass yourself. "Nice to see you again, Takeyama-san", he greets. Luckily for you, he hadn't heard your aunt's attempts to embarrass you. "So what can we help you with?", she asks, wrapping her arm around your shoulders. Hitoshi looked at the ground before meeting Yu's gaze. "I was wondering if (Y/n) would like to come for a walk with me?". He looked down at me and gave a small smile. "So, do you wanna come?", he asks. You nod and slip out of your aunt's grasp. "I'll go get ready, I won't be a minute". He gives an understanding nod and watches as you run back upstairs.

You return a moment later and walk out the door with him beside you. "Have fun you two!", Yu calls as she waves at us. I give a small wave back and Hitoshi just nods. The two of us walk away from my house, heading in a direction I hadn't gone in before. "So where are we walking to?", I ask, breaking the comfortable silence. He sends me a sideways glance and looks away as our gaze meets for a brief second. "There's a nature reserve not too far away from here, I think you'd like it there". You nod and look around at your surroundings as you passed them by, no matter how long you had lived here you still looked around like a curious child.

Timeskip

After 20 minutes of non-stop walking, the two of you arrived at the gates of the nature reserve. It was a large forest with a path that trailed through the trees, disappearing not too far ahead. "Have you ever seen a place like this before?", he asks. You shrug your shoulders. "Kind of, my old house used to be next to a large forest but I was never allowed to go in there, I always wanted to though". He sends a ghost of a smile and offers you his hand to hold. "Well, you wanna have a look around?", he asks. You hesitantly nod and step through the gate which was the only entrance to the forest.

Every so often you would notice Hitoshi glance over at you and then down at your connected hands. One time you caught him and tilted your head to the side in confusion. "You may let go of my hand if you wish", you suggest. He shakes his head, getting his messy hair to bounce slightly. "I'm fine, it's best to stay close anyway. There are some steep areas and if you slip, you may fall and get hurt". You nod and look around at the many trees and plants. "Thank you for your concern", you mutter, but your response was too quiet and the purple haired boy did not hear you.

You noticed something interesting up ahead and walked over to it quickly, tugging Hitoshi behind you. It was a very large tree. Hitoshi looked up at it and pointed to the lowest branch. "I used to climb up there all the time as a kid, do you wanna climb up?", he asks. You nod, noticing a very small look of uncertainty on his face. "What's wrong?", you question. He sighs and shakes his head. "It's nothing, just be careful". You nod and slowly begin to climb up, having Hitoshi climb up after you.

The tree was so big that it took over ten minutes to reach the top. You got there first and Hitoshi sat beside you on the branch. You looked out in front of you, your lips parting in amazement. The view from up there was breathtaking, you had never seen something so amazing. There was a view of the area where you lived and behind that was the city. If you looked even further into the distance you could see the faint outlines of the mountains. You lent forward to get a better look, your eyes widening as you felt yourself slip. You looked down as you felt yourself sliding forward off of the branch, you were very high in the tree and if you didn't activate your mother's quirk you could get very injured. You closed your eyes tightly and focused your mind on your back, your shoulder blades to be exact. But just as you felt your quirk beginning to activate you were pulled into something warm. You open your eyes to see Hitoshi holding you close to himself. "I told you to be careful", he sighs. You nod and relax in his arms, something about this seemed to relax you as well as give you a strange feeling within. Your heart speeds up, beating crazily in your chest. You hid your face in his neck, wrapping your arms around him. It was nice, this uh hug. It really comforted you and being in this spot made all of your problems feel as if they had disappeared.

A second later, Hitoshi pulled away and gave you a worried look. "Be more careful next time", he warns. You nod and attempt to climb down the trunk of the tree. Your foot slips from its hold and you feel the warmth once again, but this time it seems to be closer. You open your eyes to find yourself trapped between Hitoshi and the tree trunk. "(Y/n), I told you to be more careful". You couldn't even respond let alone think of a reply. His face was so close to yours, you could feel his breath on your lips. Your lips parted slightly as you stared at him, you wanted to move closer. And not knowing what you were doing you did. You moved closer to the point where your lips were almost touching. You ripped your eyes away from his and looked down at his now red cheeks and his pink lips. You wanted to kiss him. That's what your mother had called it, right? A kiss. Generally shared between two people who love each other, though mother and father's kisses were not of love, they were forced.

You could feel your lips getting closer and closer, just now noticing that you weren't the only one leaning in. Hitoshi moved even closer to you, pressing his chest up against yours. Just as your lips were about to touch you heard something, as well as feeling a buzzing in your pocket. You move back and as does Hitoshi. You reach into your pocket and fish out your phone, seeing that you have a new message from your aunt Yu. You sigh and slip it back in, turning to the purple-haired boy. "Do you wanna look around some more?", you ask. He nods and helps you down the tree, making sure that you don't slip again. Once you reach the ground Hitoshi's hand finds yours. You look up at him, noticing a caring smile which graced his features. "You're not very careful so I guess I'm just going to have to hold onto you". You give a small nod and look away as you start to walk again. You didn't quite understand what was happening between you and Hitoshi but you wished for it to continue, never had you felt so happy.
