Chapter 17: Was it the right choice?

Jihoon's POV

  Why was he acting like that? Was it the fight? Was it me who he was actually mad at?

  Thoughts like that ran in Jihoon's mind. The good thing was that the whole time at school working restlessly. He at least had a distraction from thinking too much about the situation at hand.

  Just like that day, the rest of the days Soonyoung was gone were like that. Those days seemed to grow longer each day. Soonyoung had work and ignored him on rides home.

  Jiyeong never had the chance to approach the boy. Jihoon seemed to notice how she was always close to him but got interrupted.

  By lunch time they were all sitting at the lunch table with a heavy cloud awkwardness and discomfort. All of them had heard what happened. As well as the rumors about Soonyoung being gay.

  Although they already know that, they tried keeping quiet of it. They weren't sure if Soonyoung would be okay with it if they were the ones that told Soonyoung's secret.

  "Jihoon oppa! Let's go talk!" Jiyeong suddenly became annoying to Jihoon.

  "I don't want to talk to you." He said in a stern voice.

  "It wasn't a question." She said menacingly. She grabbed Jihoon's hand forcefully before the others could do anything. She took him to the place where he told Soonyoung about his pregnancy.

  "Look, I wanted to do this in a nice way, but would you stop thinking about that fag?" She said in snotty tone.

  Jihoon was shocked by her tone of voice and the way she talked about Soonyoung. This made him mad. "No."

  "What?! I'm older than you! You should listen to me because I'm giving you some advice!

  "I said no! You have no right to tell me who to think about! Either way, why would you pretend to be younger than me?! Face it, Jiyeong! You will never separate me and Soonyoung!"

  "But I love you! Why can't you love me?! You can't love a guy!"

  "Why can't I?! Huh?! What's wrong with that?! He's a good friend no matter what he did in the past, no matter where he comes from, and it doesn't matter who he likes!"

  "Why do you protect someone like him?! If he's not your boyfriend, I doubt he is your friend! What is he to you that you won't consider loving me?!"

  "He is someone important to me that's all! And I would never love someone as psychopathic as you!"

  "Take back what you said and tell me how important he is!"

  "Make me."

  "Tell me or else I make Soonyoung's life more miserable. I am well known around here after all. I can make anyone do anything for me!"

  Her statement made Jihoon freeze up. What the hell?! "Why? Why your doing this?"

  "I'm doing this because you don't love me. Because if I can't have you, then you should suffer for not loving me!"

  "Your a psychopath!"

  Jiyeong grabbed Jihoon by the shoulders and pushed him against the wall. Surprisingly, she was much stronger than she led on. "Tell me!"

  "Soonyoung..." He began to frantically think of an excuse. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to come up with one, and the pressure suddenly became to much. "Soonyoung is important to me because he is the father of my child. Of our child."

  Finally, it was Jiyeong's turn to be paralyzed by shock. Jihoon took this chance to run away the best he could, so nothing would happen to the baby. He ran to the class to class without even finishing his lunch.

Soonyoung, did I make the right choice?
