Chapter 21: Boy or Girl?

Soonyoung's POV

  "What would you like the gender to be, Jihoonie?" Soonyoung asked.

  They were both sitting on the bed and scrolling through their phones.

  "I don't really care about the gender." Jihoon said. "But I've always found baby girls cute. Especially, when people dress them up with cute baby clothes."

  Soonyoung liked the way how Jihoon was getting excited over the baby's gender. "So you prefer a girl. Is that right?"

  "I guess I would prefer to have a girl. What about you?" He said, shrugging his shoulders.

  "I want a girl, too." He smiled brightly at Jihoon. Thinking it was his imagination, he saw the younger blush.

  "You're just saying that to make me like you." Jihoon muttered.

  Still, Soonyoung was able to hear him. "No, I actually do want a girl. Me and my sister do."

  "Whatever. Can we leave now?"

  "Yeah."

  Soonyoung and Jihoon were both heading to another doctor appointment. Today, they were going to find out about the gender.

  On the way there, Soonyoung had an idea. "Jihoon, I just thought of something."

  "What is it?"

  "I was thinking maybe I should know the gender, and you can wait until the baby shower to find out. It'll be cute! I was kinda thinking of doing the baby shower different from others."

  From the corner of his eyes, he could see Jihoon smiling lightly. Then he heard him say, "Maybe."

Time skip

Jihoon's POV

  "How are you guys doing today?" Dr. Kim asked.

  "We're fine. What about you?" Jihoon asked.

  "I'm fine." She said kindly. "Would you lay down for me and lift up your shirt."

  Jihoon just nodded his head and laid down on the bed. With his shirt lifted, the doctor put on the gel and did usual thing.

  "Would you like to know the gender of the baby?"

  "Jihoon?" Soonyoung asked.

  "Can you tell Soonyoung the gender?" Jihoon saw Soonyoung's shocked face. In the end, he agreed with the older's plans about the baby shower. "I'm going to wait until the baby shower for him and our friends to tell me. A mini surprise."

  "That's sounds really cute." Dr. Kim smiled happily. "Well, come to my office Soonyoung, and I'll tell you while I print out the pictures."

  Soonyoung and the female doctor stepped out of room to her office where Jihoon couldn't hear them. After a while, they came back and the small boy saw the older smiling brightly.

  "Come on, Jihoonie! Goodbye, Dr. Kim! And thank you!" Soonyoung pulled Jihoon's hand and out the doors of the room, through the front doors, and into he car.

  "Exited much." The younger said out of breath.

  "I'm sorry. I'm just happy that I know the baby's gender!"

  "So what's the gender?" Curiosity was running through Jihoon's mind, hoping it was a girl.

  "I can't tell you!" Soonyoung sang while backing up from the the parking space. "You agreed with me that we'd wait until the baby shower when you told the doctor to tell me only."

  "Fine, be that way." The pregnant boy pouted. He was going to wait for a long time before there was a baby shower. Almost, about three months months max.

"Don't worry Jihoonie the few months that are left for the baby shower will go fast." Soonyoung tried cheering up Jihoon.

"Okay, but you better make those months go fast."
