Chapter 26: The baby shower

Soonyoung's POV

  Soonyoung took the day off from work, for today was a special day; today was Jihoon's baby shower.

  Jihoon was going to be hanging out with Seungcheol while him and the others get the party set up. They all planned to trick Jihoon to think the baby was the opposite gender of what it actually was.

  They set up presents for the baby and for Jihoon. They set up the food and the tables for guests outside in the backyard. They put the games on one of the tables near the fence and beside it were the prizes. The back of the house was in pink, blue, and white decorations.

  Soonyoung was very happy and excited anyone could tell from miles away. "I can't wait 'till Jihoon finds out about the gender!"

  "Would you calm down? Your screaming in my ear." Mingyu said.

  "I can't. Jihoon and I were talking about it one time, and I'm sure he would be happy once he found out."

  "How long do we have until he comes back?" Jisoo interrupted.

  "Maybe like thirty minutes or an hour." Soonyoung replied. "Text Seungcheol and see what he says."

  Seokmin came up to the father. "Are all the guests here yet?"

  Soonyoung shook his head. "We still need his cousin, Yoongi, his boyfriend, Hoseok, and their friends. My guess is that they're all coming together."

  Just then, the doorbell rang. Minghao came back to tell him some guys were here, so Soonyoung went to check it out. Turns out, it was just Yoongi and the others.

  "Hey, Soonyoung, it's been a while, huh?" Yoongi said, stepping into the house.

  "Hey Soonyoung-hyung!" Jungkook popped up from behind the older men.

  "What are you doing here?" Soonyoung asked confused.

  "Oh, my hyung's have known Jihoon for a long time now through Yoongi. I happen to be friends with Jimin-hyung and Taehyung-hyung, who is Jin-hyung's brother." Jungkook explained.

  "Oh, okay."

  By now, all the guests were there. Everyone that knew Jihoon and accepted him were there. That included: their friends, his parents, cousin, his cousin's friends, and his midwife came along with his boyfriend.

  "Alright everyone! Seungcheol just texted me that they are on their way. So let's all wait out in the back! Soonyoung made sure Jihoon had a house key for when they came home for the surprise!" Jeonghan yelled as everyone started heading towards the back.

Time skip

Jihoon's POV

  Going out with a friend isn't unusual. But when they've told you last week that they might throw a surprise baby shower you always get hopeful when you go out for someone to distract you.

  But in Jihoon's case, he lost all hope. This whole week he's was brought out the house and little by little he came home with feeling more hopeless. Today, Seungcheol took him out for a ride around town after school had ended.
