I was happily playing C.O.D(call of duty) when my cell phone started buzzing. As I picked up the phone I heard Gwen screaming into the phone in panic and I was wincing in pain at the volume of her voice.

She told we what was wrong and I tried my best to calm her down through the phone. I told her I would be over at Ange's house soon and that she just needs to take a couple deep breaths and sit down. Gwen lost the kid she was babysitting and now she is a total mess. I can't say I'm surprised.

I pull into Ange's drive way and run up the stairs toward the large wood doors just in time. Gwen looks like she is about to ripe her hair out. She turns toward me and I can see the relief wash over her. Which surprisingly makes me feel amazing. I run towards her and cup her face in my large hands. Her cheeks and red from tears.

"Gwen, its ok. We will find her, I swear," I pull her into a hug and she grabs a hand full of my shirt.I quickly release her and she nods. "Okay, we better start looking." She whispers.

"OK I'll run around the neighbor hood and you stay here and scan the house again," I say and Gwen just nods. We part ways and I run outside yelling the little girl's name.

"JESSIE! JESSIE!" I yell cupping my hands over my mouth to make it even louder. I run around the high class neighbor hood a couple times before deciding to ask some neighbors. I stop at a couple houses but none of them have seen Jessie in the past couple hours.

I finally stop at a house a couple doors down from Ange's house. The house is brick and big. It has a perfect flower filled garden and a white picket fence covering the perimeter of the lawn. I quickly jog up the small stair case and hesitantly knock on the dark wood door. A sweet looking elderly woman answers the door and smiles at me. "Well hello there. Aren't you a handsome fellow," She smiles and opens the door wider. I smile in response as to say thank you for the compliment.

"Hello there mam. I was wondering if you have seen a little girl lately. Her name is Jessie and she lives just door the street-" I start but am suddenly stopped by the sound of a young laugh.

"Oh you mean Jessie. Jessie is just in my kitchen helping me make some cookies. She comes over here all the time. Are you the babysitter?" she asks in a honey like voice.

"No mam. I am just a firend of the babysitter. Jessie left and we couldn't find her for a while," I explain.

"Oh dear. Jessie told me that she was allowed to come over her. She's a little sneaky one, isn't she," she laughs and motions me inside. I quickly text Gwen the story and tell her where I am.

Gwen shows up at the door a minute later, panting. By that time I have already devoured two cookies and one glass of milk. We all sit down at the old woman's, Mrs.Allen, table. We talk for a while with Mrs.Allen, she tells us about how her husband and her met when they were eight-teen and they automatically fell in love. Her husband,Mr.Allen was asleep up stairs during all this.

"Mrs. Allen thank you so much for the cookies and watching Jessie," Gwen waves.

"Bye bye Nanny," Jessie waves and I smile while following them outside. Mrs.Allen waves back and slowly closes the door. We walk home, Jessie walking in between Gwen and I holding both our hands.

"1.....2......3" Jessie yells and we swing her up using both our arms while laughing.Jessie laughs and yells "Again! Again!"

By the time we arrive at the house it's 8:00 and Jessie is yawning constantly.

"Ok your going to bed." I pick Jessie up and carry her up the stairs and into her green bedroom. She is already passed out so I gentle place her down in her bed, tucking her in and shutting off the lamp next to her bed. She slowly opens one eye and grabs my hand, but only manages to hold one finger. "Good night Fishy Finn. Fishy Finn I think we should plan a play date one day and-" Jessie says but is cut off by sleep. I quietly chuckle and kiss her soft forehead and turn towards the door.

Gwen is standing there leaning her head against the door way looking stunning, as always. I study her and sigh. Her hair is long and falling down towards her waist and her cheeks are flushed from the cool walk we just had. As I walk up to her, It takes every nerve in my body to stop myself from pulling her towards me and kissing her.

I can't kiss her, I won't kiss her

I can not allow myself to like her, I just can't.
