Gwen
Thank god I have Finn.
If I didn't have Finn right now, I would be screwed. I am so glad I called him, If I hadn't Jessie would still be "missing" and I would be a huge wreck. He's a life saver.
I watch him lean down and place Jessie gently into her bed. I place my head against the wood door frame and sigh. Finn should be a professional babysitter, I would trust him with my kids. He turns around and looks at me. He gives my a sweet smile and I stare into his breath-taking almond shaped hazel eyes. My mind goes blank as I get lost in the pools of rich hazel color.
"C'mon Gwenie lets go down stairs," He nods his head towards the stairs and I follow. Finn skips down the stairs and I'm close behind. We walk into the huge living room and I plop myself down on the plush L shaped couch. Finn does the same and we sit in total silence. Not awkward silence. Just silence.
"Finn?"
"Yeah," he says his eyes meeting mine.
"Thank you," I say with a grateful smile.
"Anytime Gwenie dear, anytime," he chuckles.
The front door opens, breaking our stare down. Gabe hobbles inside and Finn tenses. I stand up and slowly walk towards Gabe, who is obviously a little tipsy.
"Whoa there buddy," I laugh while helping Gabe sit down on the couch near Finn.
"Gwen, who the hell is this?" Finn asks through his clenched teeth. I glance at Gabe who is staring at me with a lazy smile plastered on his handsome face. I look back at Finn who is obviously very confused and uncomfortable.
"Gabe, my name is Gabe. I live here. And.Who.Are.You?" Gabe spits out while poking Finn's chest. Then returns his eyes to me. Finn swats Gabe's hand away but Gabe doesn't even notice. He gives me a confused look and I explain. "Gabe is Ange's brother, he's in college and he's just visiting right now,"
"Will you help me haul him upstairs?" I ask and Finn sighs before nodding. I give him a thankful smile and he winks before helping Gabe up off the couch. With every bit of strength in our bodies we haul Gabe upstairs and into his old bedroom. A warm happy feeling falls upon me as I enter his familiar room. I know Gabe's bedroom all to well, I spent a lot of time in there when we were kids. And not in a naughty way, if that's what your thinking. Gabe used to play lego's with me while Ange was throwing a tantrum or not sharing her toys. She did that a lot when we were younger. Gabe would decline offers to play baseball with his friends and instead play Lego's with me.
Oh,did I mention I used to be in love with Gabe? Well I was, big time.
I had a huge crush on him since I was in kindergarten all the way to 8th grade. The only problem was that he thought of me as his second little sister.
I remember when in I was in 6th grade, Gabe got his first girlfriend( The first of many). I cried for weeks and weeks. Gabe was the only guy I ever liked. But now that I'm older, I realize that I have no chance at all and I've excepted it.
Finn and I place Gabe down in his bed and slowly slide out of the blue painted room.
Finn lets out a huge breath and can't help but laugh. I hear a groan from inside Gabe's room and I quickly clamp my hand over my mouth. Finn motions his head towards the stairs once again and I follow him down.
Finn and I should be both be paid for this. Maybe even double, since we did put their 19 year old son to bed too. I chuckle to myself and Finn turns, giving my a look that asks why I'm laughing. I just shake my head and pull out phone to check the time.
The time reads 8:05. Ange should be home from her date with Steve soon. My phone vibrates and I open up the text.
Ange: Hey Gwen. Steve is driving me home right now. If Jess is asleep than your good to go home. Thanks so much for being my back-up! I will be sure to give you the money tomorrow. Goodnight Hun, I'll see ya tomorrow
I smile down at my phone and slip it back into my pocket. "Everything okay?" Finn asks, a sweet expression plastered on his charming face. "Yeah, everything is perfect. You ready to go?" I ask nodding my head towards the door and slipping on my shoes. Finn nods and opens the door, I follow him out and lock it behind me before putting the key back in it's hiding place.
A sudden swipe of wind falls over us and I hug my hoodie tighter around my body. We walk towards his familiar truck and I pull my body into the front seat and rest my sore feet on the grey dashboard. Finn ducks his head and slides into the drivers seat before glancing at me giving me a disapproving look. "Gwen....Feet.Off.Now." He whispers, trying to keep a calm tone. I give him a pouting face and slowly remove my feet from the dashboard. I glance back at him, my pouting face in full action. He sighs and throws his head back in defeat. "Fine...But take off your shoes," he says trying to hide the smile that is creeping it's way onto his lips. I flash him a goofy smile and take my shoes off before quickly putting back up on the dashboard. His smile breaks through and we look at each other, both having huge silly grins on our faces.

"Gwen...Gwen..Gwen!" Ange yells, snapping me back to reality. She's been talking for about three minutes and I havn't heard or understood a single thing she's said. My mind is somewhere else today, I can't stop thinking about last night. Ange asked me to go shopping with her, more like forced, so here we are shopping for some kind of cardigan thingy that Ange wants "Gwen, are you even listening? Did you hear anything I just said?"
"What?...Um....yeah," I respond but it sounds more like a question. Ange just shakes it off and contuines to talk. "I'm thinking about dumping Steve." Ange says with no tension in her voice at all,"Hey would this color look good with my skin tone," she holds a mint green sweater to her chest and tilts her head. I look at her in total shock, Ange went through boyfriends very fast but I never thought she would end it with Steve so soon. "I'm getting bored with him. His humor and the way he talks is exhasting. Ugh. I just think we need to take a very long break," she shrugs and continues to shuffle through the racks of clothing. I sigh and she whips her head up to look at me. "So when are you and Finn going offical?" she asks in her easy-breezy way. I feel my cheeks heat up and my throat get tight, I don't even think I like Finn, let alone the idea he likes me. Were close friends, but I seriously doubt he thinks of us anything more than that. Our realtionship is simple and very far from a romance. I don't feel like explaining Finn and my realtionship to Ange, so I just sigh." There is nothing to be offical. Were friends Ange, just like you and me. Friends,"
"Oh come on. Gwen we are closer than that. Save the bullshit, I know there is something going on between you too. I rarely see you, you guys are always together." She shakes her head and looks up at me," Its always the friends that fall in love. I bet you anything you guys are just hiding your feelings. But just you wait your feelings will bubble to the surface and surprise both of you, but not me because I'm not blind. I can see what is happening between you two,"
I sigh again and shuffle through the racks of clothing,"Nothing is happening, nothing," I say, but it's more to myself than any one else.
