The Makeover

Based off of Bollywood film Om Shanti Om.

I arrived in my normal clothes, normal makeup, normal appearance, only to be whisked away into a seperate room.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Try on these!" Nari said, going into the room and placing hangers upon hangers onto a bed before leaving.

As she closed the door, I took a minute to examine the surroundings. There was a bookshelf, filled with not only books, but Disney movies, anime and numerous Korean shows, drama and gameshows alike. 'Interesting choice of genre...' I looked over to the desk, noticing piles of fan mail, most of which were hand drawn with such elegant calligraphy. A picture of a young man with his parents, all smiling happily at the camera. Taking the mahogany frame into my hand, I stared at the faces, my deductive mind set to work at who's room I could have possibly been in.

"Are you done?" Of course. I needed to change. I gave a short excuse, along the lines of being terrible at decision making, which Nari seemed to buy.

I stepped out, wearing the least flashy outfit among the group. It was a long red dress, sleeveless with frills accompanying one shoulder whilst the other was simply held in place by a small strip of a strap. Golden glitter seemed to adorn the fabric, but in a subtle way that could only be seen in direct sunlight. Not only was it the simplest, but it had an air of familiarity I could quite triangulate.

I stepped out of the room slowly, making sure not to trip in the high heels that blistered my feet. It weren't the shoes that I found were the issue here. The dress was so long that I kept trodding on the small trail in front of me. Why was I so darn short? Of course I slipped, leaning my hand against the wall to catch me.

Shindong immediately rushed to my side, placing a hand on my shoulder to comfort me. "Are you okay?" He whispered, noticing the stares the other members gave me. They weren't judgemental, but full of criticism.

I began to practice to walk in the combined effort of the shoes and the dress, but to no avail. I kept making the same mistake over and over and over and over again. It was as if I was intructed one thing and did the opposite. I wanted to know why Heechul picked me, why such an impossible persona was picked for a hopeless person like me were to play. Why Heechul?

I looked over to him, his eyes filled with frustration as he left, slamming the door behind him. A bit shaken at first, I  lifted up my dress to reveal my ankles before running over - walking quickly - in  the direction he went. If only I could do this one silly thing for him.

"Leave me alone... It's never going to work. We'll never get his confession." Heechul said angrily, but not at me. He sounded more annoyed for himself.

"Heechul?" I spoke up, my voice a mere squeak in hopes to not progress his negative state further.

"[Name]?" He seemed to calm down a bit after seeing my face. His eyes were welling up with tears, but held back.

It gave me enough confidence to ask, "What did you mean? What confession?"

So, I may or may not have written this a few weeks ago and completely forgotten to publish it... heheh...
