I looked up from my book, seeing some students sleeping. Is it night time already? I glanced at the speaker, noticing that there weren't any people talking or laughing this time. I guess they had let us have a time to rest.
I then saw Akio and Jun with their arms around each other, sleeping peacefully. They were close to each other, their shoulders touching and face inches apart.
I then smiled, very amused. I then stood up from my chair, noticing a girl who was trying to open her phone. The only problem was, it won't work. Phones, tablets, nothing was working. Like they were shut down for a reason.
She was wearing a BTS Rap Monster Baseball jacket, white Monsta X Converse Highs, a mid-thigh and high-waisted black and red skirt. She also wore a black long sleeved v-neck that was tucked in and a black velvet chocker on her neck.
I noticed that she had a dark tan skin and dark red eyes — probably wearing contacts — her black hair falling to the end of her sternum. She then sighed, still trying to turn her phone on.
"Come on, work!" she sighed, seeing that it was useless. It didn't turn on, making her frustrated even more. She puts her phone away on her pocket before noticing me looking at her.
She then gave me a raised eyebrow as I softly smiled at her and waved. She looked away, avoiding my gaze. I then giggled, knowing what she was trying to do. She was trying to look intimidating.
Fortunately, I'm quite observant.
I stood up, putting the book on my desk. Approaching her, she looked at me with a knitted eyebrows. I then sat beside her as she moves a bit to avoid me.
"You're an introvert, are you?" I asked her as I gained a glare at her. Definitely an introvert. She then ignored me, making me shake my head — smiling at her attempt to intimidate.
"My name's Honoka Oshiro. What's yours?" I asked as she looked back at me, glaring.
"Zima Regium. Now, can you leave? I don't trust you." I then rolled my eyes before nodding at her remark. Talk about good introductions. Before I could even stand up, I heard a loud bang on the door. I then saw Akio waking up at the sound, looking at the door with a shocked expression.
"What the hell was that?" he asked, standing up. He then grabbed his knife from his long sleeves as I took out a small butterfly knife that my mother gave me just in case something happens. I then saw Zima running towards Taro's body, getting the baseball bat from his hands.
The banging then got louder and louder before it stopped. I then heard someone calling out.
"Can someone open the door?" a young boy asked, making me shiver a little bit. I then saw Akio shaking his head as I quickly got the message. I backed away slowly, twirling the butterfly knife in my hand.
I then saw Zima gripping the bat tightly as the young boy continued to knock on our door. Suddenly, it stopped. I looked back to Akio, who was trying to hear the boy's movements.
But, we didn't hear anything.
Suddenly, the banging started once again, much more stronger and louder this time. What scared us the most was that it was now Taro's voice who was yelling outside the classroom.
"Open the door! Let me in!" he yelled, making the others jump, waking up in the process. Even Jun woke up at the sudden sound. She was about to stand up but Akio looked back at her, kneeling infront of her to get her to stop.
Then, the yelling stopped. It was replaced by someone we all knew. Musume stood up, looking at the door — trying to bit back a sob while preventing himself not to open the door.
"M-Musume," Kitsame's voice called out, making Musume shake his head before covering his ears. I sympathetically looked at him before sighing. God, I couldn't watch this.
I sat back down, still hearing Kitsame's plead, begging for her brother to open the door. We knew that it wasn't right to open it. Musume knew as well. He just shook his head before sitting down on the wooden floor.
"Musume, please," Kitsame begged once again as I saw tears falling down Musume's face as he heard his sister pleading to the door. He then stood up, approaching the door.
I tried to stop him but he waved his hand at me, telling me that he won't open it. He just puts his hand on the door, trying to communicate with his sister.
"Kitsame," he called out as his sister sobbed outside. I heard a hand knocking on the door, telling her brother that she was still there.
"Brother, please open the door. It's dark in here. I don't want to be here. I want to be with you." Musume shook his head, his hands still on the door. He wasn't opening it though. He was just there, listening to his sister's pleads. I knew how hard it was for him.
"I can't. You're dead. You're a ghost now. I'm sorry." I then heard Kitsame sobbing as Musume bit back another sob. He then tried to leave but he heard his sister calling out to him again.
"M-Musume, please." He looked back before turning to us again, shaking his head. He didn't even say another word. He just sat back on the floor, looking down.
Zima then held the baseball bat on her hand just in case while I hid my butterfly knife on the pocket. I then heard footsteps leaving the hallway, becoming silent within a minute.
I approached Musume, who was looking down at the floor. He didn't even try to look at me when I sat beside him. I gave him a pat on the back as I sighed. He finally looked up, staring at me with those sad eyes.
"Thanks," he said, making me sadly smile back at him. Knowing that he needed some comfort, I put my hands around him. He didn't argue though.
Instead, he hugged back — not saying a single word.
When we pulled away, I heard someone laughing once again. I then heard someone speaking once again on the speaker, making all of us look at it.
"To make this game much more fun, why not play the game even at night? I'm sure you'll love it," a boy said as I could imagine him smirking right down at us.
"Akio Daichi, please pick one folded paper from the left," he said as Akio stood up and approached the table. Picking one, he opened it and looked around him.
"Zima Regium." Another twisted laugh had broken the silence.
