[16] Ryoto's Back

After the incident that happened earlier, Akio didn't even think about leaving my side. In fact, I think he didn't sleep for the past eight hours because of it. He just sat there, looking at Shin's camera and journal. I told him not to read the last one and he nodded in understanding.

And I don't really know if I've been hearing things but I could hear someone whistling a tune just outside the classroom door. Please don't tell me that it's Shin. After all, he told me that he'd be there guarding. But I wasn't really sure if he was serious about it.

I was about to stand up but a hand grabbed me before doing so. I looked back, seeing Akio holding it tightly. He gave me a worried look as I just gave him a smile. He didn't bought it though.

"Where are you going?" Akio asked me, raising his eyebrow. He stood up, looking down at me.

"I'm just making sure that Shin is the one who's whistling outside," I said as he nods. The only thing was, he was assisting me, making sure that I don't get abducted again.

He puts a hand on my waist — helping me walk towards the door. I then knocked softly, hearing someone shuffling on their feet as they stood up.

"Shin?" I asked him as he softly knocked back. As I put my hand on it, I could really feel like his hands carressing mine. Another knock came, making me confused. I knitted my eyebrow as it continued. This time, it was a bit low.

"Miss Jun, it's me Sakura." I then smiled before I kneeled, knocking softly as well on the door. I could hear her giggle as she leans a bit to the door.

"Jun, I'm really sorry about — " I then interrupted Shin as I answered him back. I shook my head, knowing he could probably see me right now.

"Stop apologizing. It's not your fault." I could then hear his voice breaking, making me sad even more. I could imagine him sitting down as he slide against the wall, his hands on his knees.

"Alright, fine. I won't apologize anymore. I'm sorry — " I rolled my eyes as I heard another apology coming from him. He can't stop saying sorry, huh? I then heard him cough before speaking up again.

"Jun, I just want to tell you that — " He wasn't able tp finish what he was about to say since a strangled cry then echoed down the hall. I gasped, hearing pleads for help coming from a familiar voice. I could hear Shin standing up as he went quiet all of a sudden.

I then heard him running, his sister behind him. A loud demonic scream then followed as me and Akio covered our ears. It lasted for a minute as I heard someone being thrown against the floor.

"God, that hurts." I heard someone groaning before standing back up. I could hear them dusting something off before stopping.

It wasn't Shin's voice though.

It sounds familiar but I can't seem to know where I heard it. He then opened, making me gasp while Akio puts his arms around me — pulling me back away from the guy.

As I inspected him for a second, I quickly pry myself from Akio's grasp and had the courage to ask the guy. He was dusting off his shirt and pants as I gulped, trying to know if he was still possessed.

"Are you Ryoto Daisuke?" he then looked up at me before nodding. When he eyed me up and down — studying my features — he widened his eyes before reaching to grab my hands.

The only problem was, Akio stepped infront of me, blocking his way from ever grabbing my hands again. Ryoto gave him a look as Akio returned it back to him by giving a much more colder glare.

"I just want to apologize," Ryoto said as he tried to grab my hands but I quickly pulled it away just before he could even get it.

"I think you can apologize to her this far away," Akio said as Ryoto gave him a look before glancing at me sympathetically.

He then backed away from us, giving me and Akio the space we need. I stepped out to look at him as Akio didn't block my view anymore. Though, he was still beside me — helping me to walk.

"I'm sorry, Jun. I am so, so sorry about what I did. I — " He then stopped as he saw a lot of bandages and Akio assisting me. As I looked away from him, he already knew that it was his fault.

Suddenly, he kneeled in front of me. He looked up at me, giving me a sad look on his face. Me and Akio, on the other hand, were shocked to see him kneeling.

"Jun, I am so sorry. I didn't know that I would do any of this. I was possessed and I couldn't control myself." I could then hear a light sob as he apologizes over and over again. I gave Akio a sympathetic look and he lets me talk to him, helping me kneel.

Ryoto must have noticed this since he lifted his head and looked at me. I could see the tears slowly rolling down on his face as he bit back another sob.

"Shh, it's not your fault," I said as I gave him a pat on the shoulder. I tried to scoot forward to him to make him feel a little bit better but I quickly yelped as I felt a painful feeling of my injuries being opened again.

Akio quickly kneeled, picking me up before carrying me on his arms. He then softly puts me down on a chair, letting me sit down for a bit. Opening his first aid kit, he grabbed some painkillers and some set of bandages.

"Why are you doing this?" I suddenly asked Akio, making him look at me in shock. I then covered my mouth with my hands, not expecting that I would say it out loud.

He then gave me a sympathetic smile as he used a scissor to remove the bandages on my arms. He looked around, seeing some students staring at us, before going back to work. Though, he did answer my question.

"I don't like you getting hurt, that's why." Getting an alcohol, he looked up at me before he playfully grinned.

"This might sting a little," he said before pouring it to the cotton ball and softly cleaned my cuts. I yelped at the stinging sensation, making Akio look at me with a worried glance.

"Are you okay?" I nodded, biting my lip to atleast prevent myself from screaming. Once he was done, he softly grabbed my hand, carressing it a bit.

"I'll always be here for you, remember that." He then kissed my forehead before walking away, leaving me staring at him in shock.
