I gasped in shock, seeing my bestfriend falling down on the floor with a loud thud. A pool of blood quickly gained our attention as it flows right underneath her body. Her eyes were still open, not blinking as she lay down at the floor — motionless, dead.
I could hear screams of terror around me, echoing throughout the classroom. My eyes just widened, no screams or calling out her name came from my mouth. I was just a bit surprised that she told a lie.
Me and Ai were friends since elementary days. We were both like partners in crime for everything we do. We're most likely though to be sister since we never leave each other sides. We were even roommates living in an apartment we rented.
And to be honest, I never thought she'd die this way.
Akio approached her body, looking sympathetically down at her. I already knew him since Ai kept mentioning him over and over again. And also, they both kept seeing each other for the past few weeks. It wasn't really a shocker when people walking down at the streets of Shiba thought they were a couple.
But, they weren't.
Ai liked Akio but he doesn't really like her back. I already knew that he only thinks of her as a sister way. How can I tell? Well, Ai confessed to Akio before even going to this academy. Akio, on the other hand, directly told her that he doesn't feel the same way before apologizing.
I'm not even going to ask why they weren't talking to each other even though they were in the same classroom. They would just glance at each other for seconds before looking away.
I then sighed as he carressed her cheek before going back to Jun.
Oh, that girl.
I don't even know why but she's the only girl that Akio gained interest in. Not in a sister way though. More like a girlfriend type of way. Since I was Ai's bestfriend, I can't help but get a bit angry at her.
She then noticed me looking at her as I then glanced away. I know that Ai won't be happy if I harm Akio. So, why not Jun, instead? Grabbing a dagger from my pocket, I stood up and approached her.
"Hey Jun," I greeted, sweetly smiling at her. Even though it was fake. She then smiled back as I sat beside her. She didn't complain though.
Akio gave me a suspicious look before looking away, still feeling a bit sad about my bestfriend's death. I then grinned, knowing he was distracted.
Now's my chance.
Pulling out my dagger, I quickly aimed it on Jun's heart. She gasped as I was ready to stab it to her. I grinned as it was almost near her chest.
But a knife stopped me from doing so.
Looking up, Akio quickly twirled his knife on his hand before he slashed my face, giving a cut on my eyes and nose. I then backed away as I felt some blood trickling down on my face.
He then went infront of Jun, blocking her from my view. She was about to look at me but Akio blocked it by moving to his right. He then glared at me as I breathed deeply.
"Don't you f*cking dare." I then glared before standing up. Before I could even go back to where I last sat, another voice boomed from the speaker. A girl spoke, a bit menacing this time.
"Since Ai Maiko died, let's start with her bestfriend, shall we?" A twisted laugh erupted from tbe speakers, making me much more mad than before.
I then looked at the speaker before answering them. "I pick dare."
The door then opened, making me raise my eyebrow. Shouldn't I pick a paper first? Walking towards the door, I then looked outside before I heard a young girl calling out my name. She sweetly smiled at me, showing me the hat.
I gulped, finally walking outside. I then heard the door slamming shut behind me as the girl's smile never left her face. Instead, it became a bit wider. Approaching her, I could see that she wore a red dress, had a short black hair that reaches only abover her shoulders and a crimson eyes that stared back at me.
"Chizuru Fukumi, am I right?" she asked me as I hesitately nodded. When I was almost near her, she backed away. Then, the hallway became darker and darker until I couldn't see her anymore. The only thing I could see was her eyes glowing in the dark.
If she won't let me pick a paper, I might as well go back.
Before I could even turn around, I felt a knife going through my side. Looking down, I saw the girl smiling widely at me. As she pulled it out, I fell down on my knees, holding my side.
"Why?" I asked her, making her laugh at me. She then stabbed me a couple of times before answering my question.
"Plotting revenge won't get you anywhere, Chizuru. It only leads to death." I then sputtered out some blood on the floor as she continously stabbed me until I felt weak enough to stand up.
Looking up, I saw a little girl wearing a white dress. She was looking at us with wide eyes as she backed away slowly. The girl in red then stopped before staring up at the girl who was meters away from us.
"Well hello there, Sakura." The girl in red then laughed as she ran towards her opposite. I then heard Sakura scream in terror as she ran away.
Another footstep then made way towards me as I gulped, mixing my saliva with some blood. I saw a guy in a dirty white long sleeves as he smirked down at me. He was wearing a baseball cap, holding a large metal hammer, and was giving me large smirk that made me gulp, scared.
The only thing that caught my interest was his eyes. A red eye was on his right while a blue one on the other.
"Too dumb for your own good, eh?" he said, kneeling down infront of me. He eyed me up and down before chuckling. Seeing my scared figure, he stopped for a minute as he rolled his eyes at me.
"I guess it's time to end your misery." I shook my head as he shushed me with his bloody finger. He then stopped me from squirming by tying my legs and hands using a wire before laughing like a maniac.
"Don't worry, Chi, this will all end real quick." He then laughed as I closed my eyes, feeling something metal smashing down on my head.
