J U N K A I Y O
I looked at the video tape that Tomiju was holding and noticing Musume's jacket around her. I then frowned; knowing that he didn't made it. Akio probably noticed my frown and Musume's jacket that hung loose on Tomiju since he pulled me close before telling me to watch the tape with them. I nodded as we both went near Hidou and Natsumi to watch.
The first scene was recorded on August 02, 1999: 06:13 am.
"Matsuko, will you stop annoying your sister? You both will be running late if you both keep teasing each other and not finish your food," their mother scolded him as he nodded and ate his own breakfast, muttering an apology afterwards. Suddenly, another figure came in and kissed their mother on the forehead.
"Kids, dad is going to be at his new office if you need him, alright? I want both of you to behave," their mom said before kissing both of their foreheads. They both then finished eating and quickly followed their dad. The video tape then carried on, going into another scene.
This time, it was recorded at the same date but different time, August 02, 1999: 10:30 am
"Daddy, daddy, someone keeps on bothering me! I said stop but he wouldn't listen!" Aya yelled as tears fell down on her cheeks. Some bruises were also visible on her arms and some were still bleeding.
Though, it seems that her dad was too busy to even notice.
"Darling, daddy is still working. Maybe we could talk to him later, alright? Just keep silent for a moment, okay? I'll finish this up soon," he said as Aya tried to keep quiet as much as possible, nodding at her dad before leaving. Some light sobs and some loud yelling erupted just outside the door.
I looked at the doll and saw that it was now staring at the television. All of us stopped the recording and soon enough, we saw the doll turning away. Tears were rolling down on her cheeks as I gave it a pitiful look. Poor Aya, she didn't really deserve this.
Looking back and playing the tape again, we noticed that it was now centered on Matsuko's face. And on the top left of the recording was the date, August 05, 1999: 09:13 am. I guess he didn't come to school since he was on his room.
"Aya, darling, if you are hearing this, I want you to know that we miss you. We miss you so much. Please come back. I swear that I will change. I'll be the good brother and your knight in shining armor. I won't tease you anymore. I'll even play with you and Hisoka on the tea party. Just please, come back. Come back to us, please." He sobs while trying to wipe the tears away.
"I swear that I will change. Just please, come back home. We miss you. I miss you. I love you, little sister." That was the last thing he said before he turned the camera off.
The next recording was on August 09, 1999: 11:11 am. Just before the Twin's entry.
"Little sister," Matsuko sobbed as he looked at the lifeless figure of Aya that was in a coffin. She lay there still, not moving anymore. Her skin became pale and the bruises were visible on her hands and face. The camera then went around as I saw Aya's mother repeatedly hitting her husband as he hung his head low, ashamed since he just ignored his daughter's pleads.
Then, it went back to Matsuko – who was laying his head on her coffin.
"Please, let this be a nightmare. Please wake me up right now. I don't want to see my sister like this," he cried out as his mom and dad tried to pull him back to his seat. He then struggled to pull free and hugged Aya's coffin once more.
"Please wake up, little sister. Please tell me that you're only trying to scare me," he muttered as Aya didn't respond. Tears then fell on his face when they all pulled him back and let Aya's coffin finally be buries underground.
The next entry was now August 10, 1999: 12:13 pm. This time, it was their mom and dad fighting. And it looks like that they were in the headmaster's office.
"You should've paid attention to her! That was the only job you had!" her mother yelled as her husband puts a hand through his hair in stress.
"It's hard to keep track of them, Sora! I also have a job. My other job was to be the new headmaster and here I am, trying to prove that I'm worthy!" he yelled back as Sora glared at him. She just slapped him hard as her husband gave her a look.
"You don't care about our kids, Tadashi. You only care about your job! And now, Aya is gone because of you!" she yelled as Tadashi glared and smacked her right across the face. She fell down and hit her head against the cabinet. Some of the items also fell down with her. I expected for her to get up but she didn't. A loud shattering made me think otherwise anyway.
Tadashi had a scared look on his face as he quickly saw the camera and turned it off.
The last entry was from Matsuko. The date was August 13, 1999: 6:13 am. He was on a bathroom stall, crying as he held a rope. Noticing the design, I knew that it was in this building.
"Hey darling, I'm right here. Dad is nowhere to be found and mom doesn't show up like she always does. I don't know what happened but all I know is that dad hits mom with his hand and she fell down on the floor. Right after that, I didn't know where she was. I'm all alone now and..." he trailed off as he sobbed.
"I don't know what to do anymore." After that, he said one sentence that made us all shiver.
"But I want to end all of this pain and be with you, little sister." The scene was then cut to the point where Matsuko hangs himself on the ceiling with a rope on his neck. He tried to struggle free but it just made it tighter until he didn't move anymore, finally dead.
The video tape then ends.
