Twirling my knife in boredom, I glanced around the room — looking at some students to pass the time. Things had been changing lately, not in a good way too. After Rai died, Shizu seems a bit stressed and depressed at most time. She would always sit in a corner, not talking to anyone. If anyone does talk to her, she would just ignore them.

Musume, on the other hand, was much worse than her. He became cold, unfriendly and unsociable. Zima tried talking to him but all she got was a shove back and some curses thrown here and there. His eyes became slightly dim, his deliquent attitude became much more intimidating, and his actions were always redundant.

He'd sit there, looking at the edge of the knife and would act like his sister was there. In other words, he would talk to thin air — acting like there was someone talking back.

Sometimes, he would knock on the door and call out his sister's name over and over. Though, Kitsame seems to be knocking back and talking to him, keeping him some company before leaving once again.

I then sighed, knowing that if we last any more longer than a week, we all might get killed or be insane in this room. We might even kill each other if this goes on for another week tops.

Glancing in another direction, I saw Jun putting all the documents on the floor with two notebooks beside it. Knitting my eyebrows, I could clearly see some blood on the papers. Her eyes were carefully examining the items with Akio still looking at her DSLR.

Suddenly, a loud voice came from the speaker. Hidou, the guy whom we spoke to as always, sounds like he was telling someone off before talking to us. Judging on the tone he had, he was frustrated. Natsumi, the girl that Hidou was fighting, was another issue.

She seems much more mad than him. She was literally yelling at him, throwing out different curses and remarks at him, raising her voice every time he speaks. But in the end, she left the room — dragging her heavy chain afterwards.

"So sorry for our little disagreement. Me and Natsumi were just discussing about some floor plans," he said as I could hear a hint of mischief on his voice. I couldn't really tell what he was planning but I know this.

He's not planning on letting us go, alive.

If he do let us live, he would probably take something from us. Or give us a reminder for what happened in this academy. He won't release us without a substitute anyway.

"Miss Yuuki," he then called out, making me snap out off my trance. I then looked at the other students, seeing that they gave me a sympathetic look. Miwa, on the other hand, seems a bit happy. Too happy to see that it was my turn already.

Wipe that smile off your face. I am not going to die.

I then glared at her as she widened her eyes, faking a hurt expression. Standing up, I dusted off my uniform and looked up — answering Hidou with a blank look.

"I choose dare," I replied as I could hear him laugh a bit. Ignoring Hidou, I went to pick a paper. I quickly opened it, reading every word carefully. I can't afford to make any mistakes whatsoever.

D A R E

Find Aya Yukiko's doll on the lowest level of this academy. Take the hidden ladder inside the Headmaster's office. Once you're there, you only have 15 minutes to search the doll and 10 minutes to go back. Goodluck.

I gulped, knowing that the ground level wasn't exactly the lowest. Instead, there was another one. Just like a basement of the house. But probably a bit bigger and wider than a regular bunker or storage room. After all, this is an academy.

Gripping my knife tightly on my hand, I then opened the door and walked outside — hearing it shutting loudly behind me. Well, that's great. I certainly need to find Aya's doll.

Let's just hope that it's not a creepy porcelain doll with realistic eyes, shall we?

Suddenly, a voice beside me made me jump in shock.

"Let's find that doll before we run out of time, shall we?" Shin, the ghost that looked like Akio but doesn't wear glasses, said as he gave me a sweet smile. His blue eyes stared down at me as I just gave him a nod, letting him lead the way to the headmaster's office.

When we both walked downstairs, I could hear someone whistling. He then covered my mouth and pushed me to the wall as some mature and tall guy walked past us, headless.

I widened my eyes as Shin shook his head, telling me not to scream. I then nod as he uncovered my mouth and mentioned me to follow him. We both continued to descend and walk through the hallway until we stopped infront of a door.

I slowly opened it, peeking to see if there was any ghost inside. Not finding any, I saw a loose wood next to the shelf. I then looked at Shin as he gave me a nod, pulling the floorboards off.

"That is a bit deep for a hidden basement or something," I said as I looked at the dark passage that we just opened. Shin then gave me a worried glance before asking me a question.

"Do you want me to go first? Or am I going to give you a lamp or something?" I then gave him a frown as he quickly understood what I was trying to tell him. He took the lamp from the table and lit it before going down to the ladder.

I quickly followed him afterwards, seeing the lamp underneath me. After a few minutes, my feet finally meet the ground — making me sigh in relief. I then gasped as the lamp Shin got wasn't lit.

"Um, Shin, can you atleast light it back? It's a bit dark," I asked as he gripped my hand, squeezing it a bit.

"I don't think you're going to like what you're going to see if I do," he said as I knitted my eyebrows. I could imagine hin frowning as his hand didn't leave mine.

He then light it back as I gasped at the sight in front of us.
