Brothers

Mak's pov:
"You two have done well out there seeming as you survived. Therefore you are being promoted to the rank of corporal." I say as Dupo and and Cry stand straight saluting me.

"Thank you sir! We will not fail you!" Dupo shouts.

"You may go now." I order as they both wander off.

I hope the next mission is not going to cause our whole battalion to crumble.
The felucian terrain ir rough and so are the animals, we'll have to be careful if we want to take control of the planet.

"Mak!" I heard Ashoka call. "We've got another mission tomorrow. We'll be taking out a separatist army that is currently regrouping." She says.

"Allright, whats the plan?" I ask. "Well the plan is that master Plo's battalion distracts the enemy as we split up our battalion and flank the enemy from two sides."

"Sounds easy." I say smirking.

"Yeah except the clankers outnumber us 4 to 1." She states dropping my cocky smirk. "So we've got a challange." I say smirking once more but this time not so confident.

"You can go now Mak, and dont forget to tell Del that he's with me tomorrow."

"I'll tell him dont worry commander."
I say heading off to the cafeteria in search of Del.

He's propably in the cafeteria, infact its certain that he is, him and the rest always spend time drinking and fooling around in there.

After a while of walking i found myself in the cafeteria. It was quieter than usual, still loud but not as much as usual.

I scanned the room for Del. I needed to tell him before i head to my room.
I stopped as i saw Del sitting on a table by himself.

I slowly began walking towards him locking my eyes on his meloncholy face. "Everything allright Del?" I ask sitting down infront of him.

"Yeah, Im just not used to loosing such high numbers. Afterall they are all my brothers." He says lifting his head up slightly.

"I know Del, but they are the costs of war."

"To die to some animal? Thats not the right way to go."He anwsers, rebellious.

"Well, anyway I've come to tell you that you will be with commander Tano on the next mission." I say as I get up.

"Thanks" he anwsers looking down at his food.

I begin to walk back to my room exhausted after the nightmare of a mission as I hear Del call my name,
"Mak, tell commander Tano to be more careful with my brothers. Please." He says letting off some kind of hatred fueled feeling.

I nod unsure of why he would say that as i turn back around heading for my room once more.
