Mak's pov:
Our next and last mission on this damned planet was to take over a separatist base and capture the leader.
This one was going to be much harder than any mission we have done on this planet. We needed to get prepared.
"So how are we going to avoid the air defenses?" I ask looking at General Plo and Ashoka as we discussed the attack in the war room.
"I have a plan." Ashoka responded excited to explain as General Plo studied her face.
"There is a vent on every wall and they are just big enough to fit us in."
She says to which general Plo shakes his head "im not sure if im liking this so far Ashoka."
"Dont worry you will master!" She says giving him a convincing smile.
"Me and Mak can take a small group of clones along with us to infiltrate the base and deactivate the defenses so that you and your men can land safely master."
"Hmm, sounds good." General Plo responds stroking his chin.
"How many are going with us?" I ask.
"I want your best men Mak." Ashoka says
"That would be Del, Dupo and Cry but i can find some more, theres plenty of great clones around here." I say complementing my battalion.
"I dont doubt that captain but do not get too confident, a squad of clones cannot take on an army of droids." General Plo states crossing his arms.
"But i can!" Ashoka interrupts challenging General Plo
"Overconfidence, it surely is one of you weaknesses." General Plo says as Ashoka and I walk off heading for the hangar.
"I personally think its one of my strengths." Ashoka says as the door slides shut behind her.
Time skip
Both me and Ashoka enter the hangar to see Del,Dupo,Cry, and two other clones waiting at a gunship.
"Thats our ride" I say pointing to the gunship.
"Well lets go have some fun captain." Ashoka says smirking.
"Not sure if you can call it fun."
Dupo looks worried about something, i might ask him on the way, i dont want my troops to be distracted on missions.
"Lets hop in boys" Ashoka says as we all enter the gunship.
God i do hope we didnt have any false intel, that base looks solid. I would not want to get caught up in the fire of their anti-air cannons.
Hi! Im really sorry for the short and slow updates but i have to do loads of homework and revision and then theres my football/soccer training so yeeeaah it gets a lil messy.
