The Chase

Mak's pov:
A loud banging came from my door as I finished unpacking my things.

Am just not allowed to get some rest from everybody?

I walk over to the door and open it to see Mur and Raze standing in front of me. "Mak! Not seen you in a while!"

"Nice to see you again Raze." I sure have missed his 'In your face' personality.

"Us two and the two new ones are heading out to the bars in Coruscant you coming with?" Mur asked.

"Erm im not sure if it would be suitable for me to go. I mean im a captain." I respond not really wanting to go.

"Oh come on Mak! Only for about an hour!" Raze insists throwing his hands about.

"Alright, only for an hour." I say not wanting them to think that having a superior rank has changed me. Even though it has.

"Thats the spirit!"

*Short skip*

After arriving to the bar i took a seat somewhere by myself away from the drunk people. I never really enjoyed the company of someone who's drunk, but i suppose that changes once you are drunk too.

Its funny to think that this bar is full of clones and possibly bounty hunters. Normally we would've had to arrest or kill them but i guess this isnt a place where those rules apply.

"So she's not going to help us? Is she trying to kill us or something!"
I hear a shady looking Quarren shout, he was clearly frutrated at something.

"Dont worry Dogra. Its going to be a quick and clean mission. Come follow me." The woman outfitted with leather armour and a small cloak singalled him to follow discretely with her blaster pistol.

Alerted i stood up and began walking a few metres behind them as they exited the building.

They went out into the back alley clearly hiding something from everyone else.

As they stopped i hid behind a bin and pulled out mu blasters ready to arrest the two, but before i did that i needed to hear what they were going to say.

"We will assassinate her at midnight, we will take point on the roof next to her room and when shes dead we head to the safehouse." The woman explained to the Quarren man.

"Alright, sounds pretty easy to me." He said to the woman.

Lifting up my hand i activted my comlink contacting Nala. "Mak? What is it?" She asked with a croaky voice.

"I have two bounty hunters that are planning on killing somebody today at midnight, send reinforcements." I whipsered into the comlink.

"Okay. Whatever you do Mak do not approach them yourse-" she said right before i turned the comlink off.

I have to arrest them here, they cannot execute their mission.

I get out of my cover pointing my twin mandalorian blaster pistols at them as they turn to me shocked. "What the- we havent done anything you cant arrest us!" The Quarren man yelled.

"You are under arrest! Now drop your weapons and get on the ground!" I yelled as the woman replied grabbing the Quarren man and pushing him into me "Not today clone!"

"Damn it!" I said as she broke into a run.

As the man next to me began getting up i punched him in the jaw knocking him unconscious before i began running after the woman.

As we pushed through the hordes of people we attracted tonnes of attention, maybe i should've waited for the reinforcements but im still confident in the fact that i can catch her.

After a while of chasing her we came upon a landing pod that was surrounded by a giant drop.

The woman stopped and looked down the giant drop before turning back to me. "You damn clones really do have to ruin everything dont you!"

Once again i pulled out my blaster pistols aiming them at her. "Im giving you a chance! You either drop your weapons or die!" I warn her.

"Id rather jump" she says turning towards the drop ready to jump as suddenly an LAAT gunship elevates upwards stopping her from jumping.

"NO-" she shouts as one of the clones in the gunship stun her with his blaster.
